#7monthspostpartum . I'm currently running at least 5 days/week. I have strictly been running with the jogging stroller for the past 6-8 weeks. I have not ventured to run more than 4 miles with a 1 mile walk/cool down. I'm hoping to hop on the treadmill here in the next few weeks and attempt to increase my mileage. It has taken me up to about 6 months postpartum to feel strong on my runs. So excited to build back to some long distance running. #postpartumrunning#postpartumfitness#runningmom#nodiet#justrun#loverunning
Try to see the world through he eyes of a child. Eyes that are not yet cyclical or skeptical. Eyes that marvel at everything they see. The lessons we learn from our children are so much more important than the lessons we teach them.
Think happy thoughts. ❤️
Do you drink your coffee before or after your workout?
This new cashew milk 🥛 I made is so much creamier than the Almond milk I have been buying! AND it froths perfectly in my milk frother for my lattes! 🙌🏼
Uh oh mama making some little gains.. Hello 💪🏼😂 Happy Flex Friday you guys! Have an absolutely wonderful weekend!!
Guess what!? the END of the 10 week #ashleyhornertransformyou challenge has arrived 😮🏋🏻♀️..10 weeks of dedication, hardwork and determination with achieving prominence! So proud of myself for giving it my all each week and never giving up despite life's obstacles (and let's be honest we all have plenty of those!) Congrats to all who entered. Can't wait to see all progress pictures, everyone has done AHHH-MAZING! We did it 🙌🏼😃 Thank you @ashley.horner for the amazing programs!
You can never do too many dips 😜 the feet jumping back and forth thing I do at the end is killer on my tris 😉 Track workouts ending soon.. because I do NOT like freezing my tatas off 🙅🏼❄️ Speaking of which, Now that I am officially done breast-feeding 😭 I’m curious if anything will change with my weight. After the boys I lost a lot of weight immediately after, not that I needed to. In fact I got the “you’re too skinny” bs 🙄 ( weight came back eventually with lifting and eating Jajaja..) I’m not sure if it had anything to do with quitting or not though 🤔 I know with Max I felt free from trying to make sure I made enough milk ( Ridiculous. I made Too much. I just attempted to do everything perfectly) #1sttimemomsyndrome sooo when I decided to stop, I KNOW I ate much less, because I didn’t care if I lost milk supply 🤷🏼♀️ With Ethan, I was just super motivated, eating clean workout out lifting heavy and boom abs immediately. Maaaaybe it has something to do with hormones but probably more about my lifestyle. How about all of you breastfeeding mamas? Did you lose or gain weight or did nothing change at all once you quit ? I’m all ears 👂 #breastfeedingmums#postpartumweightloss#postpartumfitness#dipsfordays
3 stroller miles today. Weather was perfect for a run, but man that wind! It's the first run I've done with stroller and any wind in a long time and man could I feel it. Inspired me to get in 15 minutes of arms after.
On another note, definitely feeling a little off track with my workouts since I'm not training for anything right now. Need to get back on track. Anyone else???
Best freaking feeling EVER!!
Looking in the mirror and not picking apart every little thing I hate about myself. Instead actually loving myself...flaws, stretch marks, loose skin and all. ❤️ Embracing my body for all that it has done as a mom of two. Making the time to take care of myself because my boys deserve the BEST of me.
7 months and 35+ pounds 👇🏼 between these two photos!
Want to know my secret?
CONSISTENCY and NO EXCUSES
➡️taking it one day at a time, one workout at a time and one meal at a time!
➡️using my boys, lack of sleep, anxiety and stress as a reason to workout, not an excuse, those endorphins really make you feel good!
➡️remembering that it took me longer than two weeks to gain the 35+ pounds, so it was surely going to take more time to get it off and more importantly keep it off! I want permanent results. No more gaining and losing the same darn 10+ pounds over and over.
➡️focusing on progress not perfection because I definitely still enjoy a meal out, drinks with friends and a sweet dessert from time to time.
Almost 2 years ago, I decided I had to do something about my weight and how I felt about myself. I was desperate for a change. I was definitely unsure if I was going to be able to stick with it or even get the results I was wishing for. Thank goodness I didn’t let that little voice of self doubt talk me out of STARTING!!
Anyone else let self doubt creep in & keep you from doing things you know you need to do?

::Pants:: Today in my fit family accountability group we are talking about non scale victories, you know the things that happen without you acknowledging them sometimes?! Like clothes fitting better after two weeks worth of working out🙌🏻 That’s what I shared this morning in my group and in my insta story!!! It was so unexpected.
There I was in my closet staring at what to wear (even though I picked out my outfit last night-still stared). I decided to try on some cords because you know #fall and as I’m pulling them up and up and up they slid right on!!!! Now I’m one of those girls that has always had to wiggle and jiggle to get some pants over my party in the back but today they just pulled right no up. Ekkkk! My first pre preggo pants that have fit me post partum!!! I just may have to frame these!!! JK but man it felt good 🎉 #7monthspostpartum#bigbootyjudy 🍑
Challenging my mind and my body this week, and I'm feeling fan-FREAKIN-tastic y'all!

Hey hey fit fam! 👋🏼😃 super busy day for this Mama starting at the usual 4:30 am 😬 I feel like the Energizer Bunny this morning..well at least I did..Freya had an ultrasound first thing this a.m. (poor little babe) she was a trooper though. I'm sore so I decided to take it easy today and rest from the weights. Bodyweight workout (some days they're just the BEST)
Today's wod session was quick body weight hiit..I was gonna just take the day off but this quick burn was perfect...never underestimate the bodyweight burn!! 😮🔥💪🏼 Freya joined me for this short 15 minute workout and some stretching. So blessed to spend every day at home with her ❤️ she was chearing me on by clapping (her new favorite thing lately) trying to be the best example for these girls of mine ❤️👍🏼 Happy Thursday y'all
Throwback to the beginning of this week! 🙌🏼
After all the craziness with the Sonoma County fires 🔥 I needed to get back into a routine with my eating
Before the detox:
▪️I was eating only about 2 meals a day
▪️I felt bloated
▪️I had no energy! Even when I slept a ton of hours!
▪️my stomach was a mess 😔#sensitivestomachproblems
This 3 Day Detox definitely got me back on track! My head is so much clearer, I have more energy and I DONT feel so bleh and bloated!
Need to refresh your body and give it a little kickstart? Let’s chat! I’m happy to share my little secret 😉
My reasons for working out change daily. Some days it’s one particular thing, and other days it’s a multitude of motivation. Some days I’m down to release my inner beast and other days it’s because I know I’m about to stuff my face with tacos & fries! .
✨ If you workout to combat frustration and stress, DO IT! .
✨ If you workout to have that banging body you’ve always wanted, DO IT! .
✨ If you workout to have some ME time, DO IT! .
✨ If you workout to show your children the importance of a healthy lifestyle, DO IT! .
✨ If you workout so you can munch chips & queso, DO IT! .
Whatever your reason, embrace it and when you aren’t feeling it — remember why you started and get to it! 👊🏻
I plan on sleeping like a rock after this wod today. Keeping my fingers crossed Kai feels the same way 🤞🏼. Painstorm XI (totally lives up to its name)
10 muscle ups (I subbed 2 strict pull-ups + 2 rings dips for 1 mu)
30 overhead squats 45/35lb
40 sumo deadlift high pull 45/35
70 kb swings 50/35
90 thrusters 45/35
100 air squats
And then you die. 😵time was 1:17.05.
A lot can happen when you allow the time to pass without freaking out or rushing things. From almost 9 months pregnant, to 1.5 month postpartum, to almost 7 months postpartum. My body has gone through quite the adventure, and I wouldn't change it for anything. ☺️
My pregnancy was super easy, thankfully. Yeah, there were a few hiccups but overall I was blessed with an easy pregnancy. Postpartum has, thankfully, been good to me as well. I felt like I was a newbie to exercise, and felt sooo weak and out of shape when I was allowed to start working out again, but I didn't let that stop me. It's as mental as it is physical, for me anyway. But here I am, surprising myself and feeling absolutely amazing.
I've been asked a few things regarding pregnancy/postpartum so to sum them all up in one post:
* I didn't get any stretch marks, and I didn't use any special oils or creams. I started out with cocoa butter but I HATE the smell of it, so that stopped super early and the rest of the time I legit used regular lotion. That's it. * I worked out up until delivery, yes, because I was active before and was given the okay by my OB. Talk with your doctor before you do anything, though. * I did buy a different belly band for support (mostly for my back pain due to the huge boobs I got when my milk came in..wasn't use to that!), but only wore it a handful of times. So technically I didn't wear a waist trainer or whatever to suck in the belly PP. Just diet + exercise did the trick.
That's all I can think of right now, but if there are any other questions just leave them in comments or message me! I'm still catching up on messages, so I will get to them whenever I can. Have a good one, y'all!
I get asked ALL the time, “How do you stay motivated?”
My answer is, to have a goal that is bigger than your excuses.
What goal are you working towards? (DOESN’T HAVE TO BE FITNESS RELATED 😉)👇🏼
GET IN MA BELLLLLY!
But seriously, this was really good and took me like 5 minutes to prepare this morning.
Black beans (drained/rinsed) + corn + 1/2 avocado + roma tomato with a side of tortilla chipssss 😍 #eattherainbow •
I'm the queen of simple things these days, so this hit the spot with my clock AND my tastebuds ☺️ Do you live simple meals like I do? What's your fav?
Chugged my coffee + shake this morning on my way into work while blasting P!nk's new album - instant #moodbooster 👍🏻
Also, there's seriously nothing better than walking into baby's nursery and seeing her smile back at me l, so excited for a new day! Makes me want to have the best day ever...so that's exactly what I'm going to do 😉
Have a HUMPtastic Wednesday, friends! 🐪🍑
I oto jestem.
Zapraszam Was też do mojej inspirującej, super mega FAJTERKI @monika_kaplon

It's been awhile since I've posted much of anything (other then how cute my kid is). The last few weeks have been interesting. I've been working through some mental stuff. Trying to get a hold on some shape of a routine. Trying to keep up to my schoolwork. Trying to balance all the things.
I have to give myself a bit of a pat on the back for today's self-care win. The day started off on the wrong foot. Due to circumstances, attending my workout with @onetoughmamafitness was not in the cards. But, I decided that instead of mentally bitching about I would do something about it. Texted the hubs, told him as soon as he got home I'd be going to the gym.
Tonight was the first night I've stepped back onto the conditioning floor since leaving work for maternity leave. And it felt good. It felt good to just focus strictly on my movement, and not on a baby. If felt good to turn my to-do list off, and focus on what my body was doing. And it felt great to see my co workers again (I've seen a few of them quite a bit, but still always good to see friends).
Btw, my coworker said I was showing him up with squatting more then he normally works with ... not going to lie, I felt kind of ego blown with that, haha. :: #7monthspostpartum#postpartum#postpartumcare#postpartumfitness#gettingbacktoit#ymca#selfcare#selfcarewin#newmom#findingmybalance#allorsomething#progressnotperfection
This tummy has held 2 babies.
This tummy has been misused.
This tummy has a forever scar that bred life.
This tummy has done thousands of crunches.
This tummy has kept me strong.
This tummy enjoys tacos & ice cream.
This tummy is fueled by ketones to make me better.
This tummy is not perfect. It’s a work in progress but it’s mine and I’m proud of this tummy and the story it tells.
Be proud of your tummy ladies! Love yourself. 💗
I know it's about intensity over volume....but sometimes the babe takes a long nap and you have 4 wods you've been wanting to try 😬. A few fun ones from this morning:
100 burpee box jumps -one min on, one min off.
Took about 15.40, loved this format.
This one from @crossfitlinchpin made me want to cry.
15 lateral burpees
12 deadlifts 85lb
9 hang cleans
6 push jerks
Time was 6.53...I want to try again next week 🤢. Then from @misfitathletics: 15-12-9-6-3 back squats 95lb
7cal assault bike between each set.
Time was about 6.38.
Then Tess made me do some rowing intervals with her. Phew! Time to eat...everything in the kitchen. 🌮🍳🥗🍿🍪☕️💦💦💦- that about sums it up.
Because you can't post just one pumpkin patch picture.
Finally feeling like fall this morning 🍁 [before that 90 degree afternoon rolls in]. Until then, I will drink my pumpkin coffee, put my baby in a beanie, and pretend. #wheresfallyall
My postpartum fitness journey, is perfectly imperfect. I am at my pre baby weight, but not my prebaby body. My core still feels weak, and I'm at about 70% of the strength I was at before I got pregnant! 7 months postpartum, and I'm proud of where I am, but I can be better.
See, fitness is a huge part of my life, but it is not my life...it's high up on my list of priorities, but I look at fitness as an Essential part of keeping this vessel strong and functioning at peak performance so that I can use it to help more, give more and fulfill my purpose in life. Exercise makes me a better mother, a more focused entrepreneur, a better business coach, a better wife, and a better mother. .
It is not my life, it gives me life. I workout 4-5 days a week, to keep my body strong...to keep my mind focused, and to keep me from falling back into old unsuccessful habits. I'm not playing small in this life, and neither should you. You were wonderfully made to do wonderful things. Xxx
Our shirts say it all! 😴 This weather makes you sleepy! ❄️
I hate to admit this but I’ve only gotten ONE workout in, in like the past 10 days or something 😱 and it feels AWFUL. Definitley gonna get my sweat on today .. I’ll never understand people that just don’t workout 🤷🏼♀️ For me, it’s always been a part of my daily routine just like brushing and flossing 😁
T-shirt’s from @saturdaymorningpancakes :)
I'm so proud of my body and my journey. 7 months pregnant vs. 7 months post partum. 11lbs between both photos. After I gave birth I dropped 25lbs by day 5... then kept the extra 10 for the last 7 months... tried everything to drop them and only ended up dropping milk supply every time. 😒 then dealt with an umbilical hernia... then surgery 🙄 I seriously couldn't keep any consistency other than consistently eating crappy or skipping meals.
Last week I decided to buckle down and meal prep for myself. Some days I would have lunch at 5pm 😐... then eat the kitchen by 9pm and go to sleep with heartburn 🙁
Sooo I did it to feel better. Sort of knew my weight would stay the same because I had tried cutting before... well here we are with one week down. Tracking calories still in the 1700s-2000, nursing and pumping still high, I practice #IIFYM no "clean eating" here folks. Truth is some days (like Saturday) my breakfast was a GF Starbucks's sandwich with a side of Spark and some Reece's pieces 😜... today I didn't wanna weigh myself because I wasn't consistent this weekend...but now sitting 5.9lbs away from pre-baby. 🤗
I am following a workout routine of HITT/weight lifting 4 days a week with 3 rest days.(who am I!) prebaby my mentality was "no rest days"... chiiiiiiillld has that changed. This mama is exhausted but I have been making my workouts count. Limited time= getting it done son.
My heart ❤️ goes out to everyone who has been affected by the fires 🔥
It’s been a long, heartbreaking week...now that I am back in the land of WiFi I just want to take a moment and be thankful for all the good things that has come from this horrific event...
💜our first responders- you have done and are doing an amazing job.
💛the generosity of our amazing county- everyone has really stepped up #sonomastrong ❤️the safety of my family & friends- I know many have lost a lot, I’m just happy you are safe 🙏🏼
I woke up and did my workout for all of you that are not able to today 😘
We may have lost memories from the past and things that we hold dearest-we will forever cherish those memories.
Now it’s time to rebuild and recover and look toward the future that could have so easily been taken from us. 💕
Stay strong everyone!
