Movie Name: 12 Feet Deep “An uneventful, stifling and dreary film that contains every much of Hollywood clichés and the famous predictable ending.” SharpRatings: 3 - #Bad
The difference between good and a bad movie is very thick but a difference between a bad movie and poor movie is very thin. #12FeetDeep is not a poorly made film but it’s a film that is just bad. Inspired by true and rather disparaging events of two people, in this case, sisters getting trap under cover of a swimming pool. For premise is somewhere closer to #127Hours , but the problem is the film adds unwanted supporting cast or in this case the mindless and poorly written character, Clara (#DianeFarr ) who after finding the sisters under the fiberglass cover uses them for personal gain and of course tries to make them learn a life lesson. Bree (#NoraJaneNoone ) and Jonna (#AlexandraPark ) are mostly seen under the cover in the swimming pool, nothing much is shown to their survival, their development conversation and back stories are something viewer is not very interested in since the film just drops viewer into the life of two people without any setting, it creates the setting when there is no time for it. #TobinBell who comes along in movie as rusty and old keeper/manager type of person he is not really in the movie that much neither he plays anything for the plot of the story well except for closing the damn cover on the sisters. The film decision gets frustrating and even more frustrating as runtime dissolves and we watching these three odd and cynical characters do what can only happen in a Hollywood movie. The entire film is claustrophobic, boring and drags on forever. Barely watchable.
…not used properly. Clara as a heartless and evil person. Underdeveloped characters and story.
