You are confined only by the walls you build yourself.
For 20+ years I built up walls of self doubt. Not once did I feel 100% comfortable in my own skin. Constantly I was pinching the extra fat on my body. My stretch marks would magically “disappear” courtesy of baggy clothing. Anxiety would arrive as soon as I began worrying what others thought about my appearance and whether I was skinny enough to meet their expectations.
That’s just it though...I was confined by the walls of other people’s standards. As much as I wanted to please others, I needed to realize that I must love myself first. I have a beautiful body, and I’m not ashamed of constructing new walls brimming with acceptance and appreciation.
You can change your story. Tonight I powered through a challenging workout that left me exhausted yet stronger and more confident than I’ve felt in months. My body is capable of so much, and for that I’m grateful and amazed at just how far I’ve come. Love and cherish your body for all it does for you. ✨
I'm in awe from a massive perspective shift this evening on my conference call with @loriharder 😍For years now I've looked up to her and gained knowledge and tonight I got to talk 1 on 1 with a few other amazing souls @healthyfitmomma_ggb @leece11 @afitcookie to get coached by Lori! 💜It was a bucket list moment and I'm so thankful for that opportunity! .
Tonight's take on what I learned. 🤔It's my choice what I feel, I am going through a hard time but this is where I'll learn and grow from. Being vulnerable is okay and necessary if I feel my calling is in this line of work. Take it one day at a time and be consistent. Share with others regardless of where you are in your journey. This dark time I am in will pass and I'll be more relatable and capable because of it. I want to meet like minded people and they are out there, waiting to share their journey. You don't have to have it all figured out, you've just got to start and plan it in. There is so much that comes to mind after a really not great day, that after work I deliberately shifted my perspective through exercise and self care and then to have an inspirational coaching call with @loriharder 🙌After I got off the call I started to shake and cried a little, primarily from joy and excitement finally meeting her (virtually - in person at Bliss 2018!) but also from being vulnerable, even that little bit. I've only told a handful of people what I am going through due to the nature of my business but it was nice to be honest. After helping people feel better everyday in my business while feeling crappy and not making any money, I know it's time to move on and I'll get through it. Thank you for your wisdom Lori, sharing your energy @leece11 @healthyfitmomma_ggb @afitcookie 😘 I would love to hear your thoughts, your fears, and how you're doing! I made a goal for myself at the beginning of the #lh14daychallenge that I would make this my routine, that I would make this part of me again because it helps me feel balanced and grounded. I had lost that feeling for a bit. It feels so good to be back. I can say with 💯% certainty that moving my body has brought about reward, energy, desire. Today, I went to the gym and warmed up on the treadmill for about 10 minutes. I had intended to do Workout no. 1. But due to technical difficulties... Well, I ended up doing 6 X giant set one. The most important part is that I moved my body! ✅ And now, I am totally in love with the Bosu ball!! Here is a pic of my new BFF!! I did this today. Got into a lazy slump again. I have to stop that. I got back to exercising today. I won't get the beach body I want if I sit on my butt (especially since I've built it up lol). #life -changing

Friends help to motivate you and keep you accountable by checking-in on you (@bajancyn) or meeting you to go to the gym (@ShariW) after a long day. Let’s just say they make it so you think twice before saying “tomorrow”. Not only that, they push you to work harder. Well, I did it!! 14 days of movement!
No I didn’t go hard every day.
No I didn’t jump outta bed ready to move.
But YES, I was consistent 💥 + maybe gained a little muscle 💪🏼
So I just found the cardio workout and did it for the first time. The stomach to knee up things were something special😂 I did it though and finished my #workout#strong Keeping steady! #lh14daychallenge Thank you @loriharder for all of this! 😘

This evening didn't unfold according to my expectations, upon siting down to write today's inspirations, my sleeping munchkin was sleeping no more. I chose to complete #lh14daychallenge cardio workout while affirming and my manta of "be here now". I've realized that as Eckhart Tolle asserts in my current read "The a power of Now", it is impossible to suffer in the present moment. That's because to be present in the current moment is to choose love. Consider that all our emotional discontent stems from unmet of expectations, thus if we respond to appease our discontent then we are remaining attached to something that no longer exists in the present moment. Rather, we either got stuck in the past (with disappointment) aka wishing our expectations were met or have fast forwarded ourselves into the future, worrying about the "supposed" implications of those unmet expectations. I felt exhilarated after my workout and integrated a new awareness that we heal only by choosing to be fully present in the now as it forces us to release our attachments to any unmet expectations. I'm not a psychologist, yet this awareness is crystal clear to me that I feel confident in saying that no matter how sad, traumatic or horrifying our wounds are, a conscious practice of following the flow of life as it unfolds in each moment frees our minds from unnecessary suffering and enables healing. Similarly, if we cannot choose to be in the now, I don't believe that any amount of time or counseling will ever truly heal us. All of life is only experienced as "now" and as Tolle describes "the quality of our consciousness now is what shapes the future and our degree of consciousness is shaped by our presence". If you are unfulfilled and remain unsure how to make the necessary changes to bring about greater peace,abundance and fulfillment. I'm going to suggest doing something that I can assure that you aren't doing, "live in the moment" and the light bulb will finally come on. We miss the turns to our desires if we don't keep up with the pace of life.

Speed walk/run today around Lake Tuskegee. Added some lunges and walking squats, leg raises and to the workout. Im feeling good....breathing okay @loriharder. Life's been a bit of a challenge lately. But nothing like a pool of sprinkles to remind me that "Life is fun and easy, and there is plenty of time for everything." (Thanks @loriharder!) Due to the Shingles I wasn't able to finish the challenge on time. But I've been reading the posts from the tribe and it's really been filling me up with joy for the journeys these ladies are on! @_mamafaefae_ , I'm SO proud of you! I remember that feeling when Lori said my name as the winner last year. Life changing! And I have the same goosebumps for YOU!!! I can tell that you live a life of purpose, and a life of joy. The world needs more inspiring people like you to lift us all to a higher vibration! I hope to visit with you on my next trip to Chi-town! Side-bar: I'm totally going to finish the challenge once I'm back to 100%! Because as the great Mikhail Baryshnikov once said: "I don't try to be better than anyone else. I always try to be better than myself." But for now, I'm going to stay present in THIS life, right NOW. Rest.
