HOOK SPECIAL: ENDING 12/31 - $30/Hook - #musicproductions I think it’s so important to provide value to your customers and one way is to give them ideas for their $1M records. So let’s get it DM me ASAP!
I found an old hard drive a few weeks ago containing the first beat I ever made.. it was dated Dec 15 2008. That was exactly 9 years ago today.. I feel like I’m supposed to say something like “ time flies “ or “ I can’t believe ..” But hell nah 😂 It feels more like 20 years. (I think most artists and producers will understand lol) The stages of progression I’ve gone through with my music and just life in general is CRAZY to me. So to celebrate I’ve decided to release my third sample pack titled DG Drums lll. This is definitely one of my favorite kits I’ve put out so far and it just dropped on our new site SamplePlug.com (links in bio)
I appreciate the continued support from all the producers and artists that have been rocking with me. Let’s get it!
Full video on YouTube @ ‘Young Tarzan Beats’, listen to the full beat on my beatstore or on my beats channel @ ‘Prod. Will Phillips’
Alive and free — That’s what Julia sang about during this weeks episode of Trust Your Gut! There are many things that can and do bring us down from day to day, some small, some big, but at the end of the day you can still count your blessings! Every time I make music with Julia, she teaches me something! Thank you, Julia, for reminding us to relax our souls, calm our minds, and be thankful to be alive and free!
Thanks for the great camera work as well!

comment a ✂ if you use eq to cut frequencies in your mix. Where do you use eq the most?
EQ can be one of the most important tools when mixing your beats or vocals. Cutting the unwanted or unnecessary frequencies from your sounds will save you hours fighting the mix.
Many times when you choose a sound, it has frequencies in it that don't need to be there. They are there, but when removed, they don't harm the sound at all. This fluff takes up space and muddies up the mix.
To get rid of the clashing frequencies, create a cut in the EQ. Next sweep the cut up from the low end until you hear a change in the sound itself.
We don't want to harm the sound, just remove the extra noise. Once the sound changes, STOP. Slowly slide the cut back until you hear the sound return to its full body.
Do the same for the high end, sweeping down and listening for a change. Again, when the sound it harmed, stop and adjust the cut back to where that change began.
Cutting all these unwanted frequencies from every sound will make all the difference in your final mix. Each sound will have space to shine!
