It's #NationalAppleCiderDay so...well... why not?! #Ananas smells and tastes just like fermented pineapple juice. Wait....it is! Crisp, juicy, tangy and tart, fruity and dry. Good stuff. Prost!! @SlimPickensCo
Bright aroma of fermented berries and a light, fresh apple cider. Very crisp and effervescent up front on the palate with a light body and a juicy blueberry wine character. The cider comes to life on the back end and intensifies with the dry finish bringing on a vinous character. Honestly, it's a lot like a Pinot noir wine spritzer and my gf wants to know where the alcohol is...😂😂😂 Prost!! @SlimPickensCo @shanenotshawn
Pokin around lookin for ratings and such, I came across this review and couldn't have written it better myself. "Bursting with all things citrus, Citronious Big also runs the tropical fruit gamut with a bold herbal and spruce medley and a high citronella perfume. A rich haze comes over the appearance, darkening its pale golden hues. A creamy and tightly woven froth skirts the tastebuds with an initial explosion of fruit sweetness that seems of honey, blossom, angel food cake and a kiss of caramel.
As the sweetness slowly retreats, the creaminess of malt remains in support for the onslaught of hops that bring those pink grapefruit, mandarin orange and lemon impressions to life. Backed with the succulence of pineapple, passionfruit, papaya and mango, these fruit punch flavors brighten and embolden the citrusy hops and give the ale a slight berry-like twang. The hops continue to develop into a succinct bitterness of fresh grass clippings, pepper, pine, herb, hemp and a brisk salinity to close.
Medium bodied, the beer's dry and bitter finish reinforces true IPA notions, but its strength leaves behind a light bed of sweet starchiness to keep a semblance of balance without the malts getting in the way from the premiere hop aroma, taste or texture. Finishing spicy, bitter and of assorted fruit peels, the aftertaste is long and lean, inviting another quick return to the glass." It's a bit lengthier and dramatic, but spot on. And, overall, this beer has phenomenal balance and killer drinkability. Thanks again, @shanenotshawn. Prost!! @CalusaBrewing
I think I may have discovered a new way to drink my Irish coffee. #BeoirLeCaife is a delicious brown ale brewed with lactose and coffee beans that were previously aged in Jameson Irish Whiskey barrels. - "Malted milk, chocolate and fresh-ground coffee bean aromas bring to mind the finest cup of authentic cubano espresso coffee while flavors of toffee, semi-sweet chocolate and a touch of roast on the palate are complimented by espresso and a touch of vanilla. Notes of vanilla and Irish whiskey present in the background of this full-bodied but infinitely drinkable brown ale." -
The coffee isn't quite as strong, but it's very reminiscent of Founder's Sumatra Brown. With the added Irish whiskey notes, however, it lingers a touch more with flavors of peated malt, roast, chocolate and light barrel notes. I could easily make this a mainstay. Thanks again, @shanenotshawn. Prost, to Coffee Beer Sundays!! @CigarCityBeer
Beer mail!!!! Heading to the mailbox pretty much sucks since we all know it's nothin but junk and bills. But when you get to walk out and find this on your porch?? A smile from ear to ear just plastered itself across my face and my day just got infinitely better. Like a blast in the middle of the night, I wasn't ready for this porch bomb. Holy shit!! I can't wait to crack into these beauties. This is freakin awesome, Mr. Cassidy. You, sir, are wonderful. #RiceCreamIPA - With Simcoe and Citra hops along with lactose, jasmine rice, coconut and kaffir lime leaves. The thought of this beer has really intrigued me since the day I got it in the mail and I kinda wanted to have it with a lil spicy coconut curry, but I couldn't wait any longer for a day to throw down so today's the day. Strong aromas of citrus (orange, lemon and lime) and pine dominate the nose as expected. As it warms, light tropical fruit notes as well as the coconut come thru more. The palate fills first with lively bittersweet citrus notes, becoming a bit milder and softer mid palate before rolling into a lightly pithy, piney juice with increasing undertones of coconut and lime. Great success!! Prost!! @PuebloVida @208beerguys
What I've enjoyed most about these guys beers and hopefully get to continue enjoying via the @208beerguys is the delicious balance between Northwest-style IPA and the newfangled New England-style hazy IPA. See, I'm a hardcore hop head and, even though I can't deny their deliciousness, I've still had a hard time embracing this new "style" of cloudy IPAs. I always want that earthy, piney wallop. These guys are doing a terrific job blending the two and creating a dank, resinous feel on both the palate and finish while simultaneously softening the edges with some smooth juiciness that isn't too sweet and allows the hops to do their thing. Check em out, for sure. Prost!! @AZWildernessCo
Sometimes you need somethin with a lil more umph. And sometimes when you go shopping for OJ, you get to feeling a lil more.......frothy. Hehe. That's when you take your pulp to the next level and reach for that #Grovestand style. Citra is still dominant in this one, but the El Dorado brings in some sweeter, tropical notes of pineapple and mango while the Equinox ties on some lemon, lime and papaya. Both have a deliciously resinous back note that cleans up the finish, but not before delivering a fuller, sweeter, more candy-like aroma and flavor like that fresh-squeezed #juice always does. Thanks again, @208beerguys. So good. Prost!! @FieldworkBrewCo
When you want that true OJ experience, you go for the stuff with the #Pulp . And when there's only Citra hops to fuel that bad dog, the true full-flavored experience is on. It's kinda hard to describe this as anything other than dry-hopped orange juice with a lil zest and a grassy touch. What's even more is that it smells and tastes almost exactly like Mikerphone Check 1,2 from these other guys I know. That's kinda hard to do....but it's damn delicious. And thanks to them @208beerguys, I get to indulge. Prost!! @FieldworkBrewCo
