MONDAY MOTIVATION 💪🏼
Saturday I had a really good chat with @donna_smed in the gym about training, food and life balance. .
We were saying it's really hard going from 100% commitment of a show or even a plan to finding balance again in your life. How the reality is that you may feel miserable, tired, miss out on social events etc...just to be lean! .
Now again, I'm not trying to put anyone off competing or reaching their goals as it is also an amazing journey and achievement but I don't think people realise how hard it can be sometimes. This is why now I try to make plans/prep as flexible and enjoyable for the client as I can!
At the moment im doing a mix of training (strength, hypertrophy, circuits, some hiit and steady state cardio), still working on weaknesses but also maintaining other areas I don't want to build etc. My nutrition is good through the week then I do relax more on a weekend but I work my training around this too so I use extra fuel to build rather than just going cardio crazy.
I can honestly say I'm happy with my training, food, physique (I wasn't for a long time as I'd starve myself to binge on a weekend so I'd feel bloated and rubbish in myself) and I actually have and I'm happy with my life balance now!!! .
Just remember, you don't always need to go extreme to get results! .
The main thing is are you happy???
