While our fabulous founder was in Bristol yesterday winning Female Start-up of the Year at #FFE17 , the TechPixies of Cohort 5 were hard at work back in Oxford learning all about Instagram. Lots of the women posted on Instagram for the very first time! We're so proud of everyone who got stuck in and enjoyed the challenge 😍 We just know some of you are going to absolutely LOVE it 😘

Day 97/100: You vs Your Feed
Waking up and knowing all you have to do is learn is amazing, my mindset has really changed these last few months with learning become top priority. With today’s learning i made my first login page with profile support using MySql it was a very interesting lesson and will have to go over it again as there was so much that was going on, but the potential is huge with these skills.
Today whilst trying to find some inspiration for the photo that went along with this post i was thinking about how much my feed and style has changed throughout this project, and i figured i’d let you guys know a bit more about where i get my inspiration towards my instagram feed. A few months before i started this project i had been following @alesnesetril when he released his ebook, “The Perfect Grid”, and being a huge fan of his work i instantly bought myself a copy, from my first read through i found it really insightful but unfortunately didn’t have the drive to really try out some of things i had read, fast forward to about a few weeks into this project i decided to have another read through it and actually apply some of the techniques, the improvement was almost instantaneous, i was really surprised in all honesty and since then i’ve also read another great ebook by @hyperlax which has been renamed recently to “Simplicity”, which takes the a more simple approach to photography and have personally found these books go great together and have had an amazing effect of my uploads and feed. So for anyone who want’s to learn a few skills and techniques to improve their own feeds, i highly recommend picking up a copy of each!
