She’s out there, she told me as she left, she’s out there, the girl who will love you. You’re such a great guy, you will definitely find her.
No I won’t. You know why? Because I don’t need the obscure perfect girl who exists somewhere in the world. The one who will love me for who I am and what not. No, I do not need that. I need you. I want you, not her.
Don’t give me perfect. I don’t need it. Give me your imperfections. Let me fall in love with them. Let me for once kiss you and realize that all kisses are not like the ones in movies. That in real life “Happy ever afters” are exceptions and not the norm.
Hurt me. Scar me for life. And then stay there to heal them because even though you never meant it, you will hurt me. And I will take it. All of it. Without any complain or whining. And I will hold you close because that is the best antidote in the world I could ask for.
Lose me. And find me again. Feel what I felt. Feel what it means to be able to breath and yet not be alive. Because you lost someone you never imagined you could lose.
Fight with me. Fight all you want. I want to be worth fighting over. I want you to say something, do something, anything. The noise this silence makes is louder than any fight could possibly be.
Stay next to me. Talk. About your day, your life, the moments you loved, the moments you almost gave up. Talk about all of them. I would listen. And if you don't have anything to say, just sit there quietly and hold my hand. I understand silences more than I understand words.
Just don’t do what you did. Don’t tell me I will find someone else. Because I won’t. Not like you, anyway.
