So get this...I had a dental emergency today, but my awesome dentist managed to fit me in, & fix the problem so I didn't have a miserable Thanksgiving. I was so happy when I left the office, I was bouncing down the street, and stepped in a pothole with my bad ankle and sprained it. Seriously? Can't catch a friggin break this month! 😞 #ice & #Advil my new best friends
Saw an #elk today and I wanted to just stop and watch it. My knee was killing me, but with a little help from some #Advil and #c4 from #gnc I didn't even feel like I needed to #rest Next time I'm definitely bringing #gloves though!
After goin to "sleep" at almost 5am and tossing and turning trying to fight a bad migraine behind my right eye(took 2 Excedrine and 4 Advil on top of my 2 antidepressants) that made me feel really sick, I still had a pretty ok day..I think my medicine is starting to work *hashtags to follow* ✌💜💀🎶🌹
You sometimes take life for granted not knowing how it changes in an instant. I was wide awake looking at my old videos of my pretty hands. Oh how it has since changed! Rheumatoid Arthritis is something that I didn't see coming. I've lost 30 pounds, my fingers are deforming, it's so hard to walk at times because my legs are swollen, and I'm in pain every single day! RA feels like when you have the flu...all your joints hurt and you can barely get up off your bed.
I started my first shot last week!
It didn't hurt at all! I was walking straight for 2 hours without limping! Later on that day the limping returned and I wide awake from the meds. I finally got some sleep at 5:30am. A couple of days passed and I could feel that my wrists were more flexible, the joints in my fingers had light pain, I could stand up strategy and I could bend my toes slightly. I had no injection reaction and no bruises from the shot.
I have been thru life threatening illnesses but nothing prepared me for the pain I was about to face for two years.
At the age of 31 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. It all started one day with my left pointer finger swelling up. I didn't know what was going on so I took Advil to take the swelling and pain down. The Advil helped with the pain but the swelling was still there. A couple of months later both hand were swollen and stiff! I had no clue what was going on with me so I decided to Google my symptoms. I know searching on Google is bad but at the time I didn't have insurance. I also didn't want to go to the clinic if it was just an allergic reaction or swolleness that would go away.
Rheumatoid Arthritis popped up and I was confused!!!!! I asked myself what is RA and how could it be this diagnosis... A month later more fingers started to swell and I gave in and went to the emergency. The ER doctor told me I had osteoporosis. He also told me to continue taking ibuprofen, and to follow up with my regular physician. I didn't follow up with my physician until my body began to ache. That's when I told my doctor that I had googled my symptoms online. I asked him if he could check my RA factor....Indeed it came back positive. He prescribed meloxicam and a referral to a rheumatologist. I never took the meloxicam and the rheumatologist clinic only seen patients on Monday. So I waited several months again thinking this would go away and it was triggered because of my injured ribs that were healing. Sadly it didn't go away and I couldn't walk for 5 mins. I gave in and found my own rheumy! She took blood work and prescribed steroids. I paid for the steroids but never took them. I dislike taking pills and the med warnings scared me.
I dealt with the pain by taking ibuprofen for a year. My rheumy came up with a treatment plan but I didn't have insurance and pill taking wasn't in my agenda. It wasnt till I couldnt help myself or my child that I went back to start treatment. She prescribed prednisone again and took more blood work. I didnt take the steroids, but I did agree to start treatment. My hands were deformed by then, my hands are still deformed now!

This is a massive dose of anti-inflammatory PINK goodness. (The color comes from beets, not chemicals.) It has no stimulants and yet gives me a lift in the late afternoons. The natural ingredients in here keep my mood up, my gut healthy and my energy consistent. I used to take a lot of Advil for blood sugar related headaches before I used Plexus. I don’t even have any Advil in my medicine cabinet now. 4p or so is my favorite time of day to drink my Pink Drink, though you can have yours anytime you wish.
@Regranned from @asknursealice - Here are a couple key differences between #Aleve and #Advil that are helpful to know. Remember pain/fever are signs that something is upsetting the body and these over the counter (OTC) medications are for temporary relief. Make sure to follow up with your health care provider if you’re finding them not helpful or taking them often. @pfizerinc @bayerofficial #aches#pains#headaches#cramps#musclestrain#fevers#NurseAlice - #regrann
