Growing up I always hated having red hair. I didn’t have an overly hard time with it but I’ve always hated the attention it bought. Strangers in the street seem to think it’s okay to comment and touch your hair like you’re some kind of public attraction. I always hoped that I wouldn’t pass my red hair onto my children. But now that I have a little red haired babe I couldn’t be prouder. I’ve let my hair grow out to its natural colour for the first time in about 15 years so I can try to teach Aisha to embrace it and love this feature that makes her that little bit more unique.
