#21daysinmyartworld Day 17: Largest painting. Or drawing, in my case. You’ve seen this pastel drawing before, but here’s my hand to show you the size. .
Title: ‘One of these days’. From the song. You know the song...🤠
#ICAonview : “Commissioned Paintings: A Painting by Anita Storck” (1969) is part of a fourteen-painting series of “Commissioned Paintings” from ultimate post-studio artist #JohnBaldessari . Baldessari photographed various friends’ index fingers pointing at household stains and smudges, after which each work in “Commissioned Paintings” was then executed by a different artist whose name appears in the title. After 4 months of declining physical and mental health, my doctors have adamantly advised me that I should be admitted to the hospital. After much discussion and deliberation they’ve agreed to allow me to stay at the loft (home) under the strict conditions that I stop painting and take a extended period of rest. Which I begrudgingly agreed to. I will be back to work and posting as soon as my health allows. Thank you for your understanding.
I could be swallowed whole by the work of @miljansuknovic. It's an amazing feeling being surround by all that color, all that intensity, all that texture. Thank you Miljan for an amazing studio visit. Never a dull moment 😉🌈🙌 #MiljanSuknovic#StudioVisit
*Interview Part 2* @ciscoadler you produced a song featuring lil Jon for the cult comedy ‘The Hangover’ , what was that experience like?
Amazing. That was the first time I met Jon. Always been a fan and to work with him was one of those moments. He’s a punk rocker. Over the years we’ve become great friends. Mickey brought in that sample from an old folk song. We just went with it. Later the song got placed in the film and I didn’t know til I was in the theater and saw the film. I was like wtf. I called the label and said someone better be cutting me a check...lol... • Tell us about the inception of Banana Beat Records!
It was always a dream of mine to have a label. Since I made my first beat. After the Shwayze success I wanted to establish a label to develop and put out more talent. We’ve put out some really cool stuff and I’m proud that Bananabeat is a discovery platform for new artists. The artist I’m most excited about right now is Goody Grace. Check him out. Big things coming... • You’re a Grammy nominated artist, how important is critic recognition to you Cisco?
Actually I am only a Grammy nominated producer. I hope to be a Grammy nominated or Grammy winning artist someday too tho! I think anytime tour industry peers select work you’ve done to be honored it is amazing and humbling. But on the daily I do this for the fans of my music in any form. If they dig it. I’m happy... • Where is your favourite spot in Cali?
Malibu! I try to never leave... 8. Name the most important thing in your life?
My son and my wife. Family is everything to me. They keep me motivated to make it happen... 9. Describe your perfect evening in three words?
Light it up... 10. What can we expect from you in 2018?
A whole lot of creative output! I also just opened a restaurant in Malibu called Malibu Burger Co. so come have a burger by the beach... #liljon#hiphoplife#artiststudio#dirtnasty#grammys#ciscoadler#ciscoadlertour#beats#studiotime#adam22#nojumper#malibuburgercompany#hollywoodlife#exclusive
