Myth busting time! Comment 👇🏻if you think that not eating after 6pm will help you lose weight or get leaner. This is actually false! I am cutting weight and dropping body fat right now and that actually means I eat MORE food. Just more intelligently. My 4th meal is very important because when I am sleeping my body has to go a full 8 hours without nutrients. That means a dangerous window of time where my blood sugar can crash and my muscles can start disappearing. Slow absorbing protein is important before bed to drop body fat and maintain muscle. My secret weapon doesn't look like much but it includes grass fed yogurt (naturally low lactose and easy on my tricky stomach), my favorite plant based protein powder, 🥜 butter (fats and my life force energy DUH) and usually gluten free oats but I ran out. 😂. Competition Squats today worked up to 365 for 1x5 at an RPE 7. Also hit 360 for 1x5 at an RPE 6. Changed my footing slightly and brought my stance in closer. I also brought in my hands more inwards and tucked my elbows tighter. The weight felt much more smooth through the range of motion. A couple things I want to point out here...
1. I nailed my macros ✅ (none of this “I can’t meet my protein goals on a plant based diet” hooplah!)
2. The ONLY time I prefer supplementation over food itself is in the immediate post-workout setting. Hence the Phormula-1+Ignition. This combo gives me optimal recovery nutrition for my depleted glycogen stores.
3. I choose to go meatless on Mondays for many reasons, one of which, is that I’m lessening my own red meat consumption; which has proven links to cancer of the colon, rectum, esophagus, liver, lung, and pancreas. YIKES!

Today's WOD was dedicated to my body. Celebrating 26 years of a healthy body I live in. Another year of being healthy, another year of breathing and being functional.
