Congratulations to Isaac for winning his 2nd USFL sanctioned pankration fight via unanimous decision.
My Little MMA fighter ! 😭 I'm so proud of you !! if i tell you the truth i did not cared for this fight, I did not put him in that ring HE Literally cried when I said I don't think I'm going to let you fight ! And begged please MOM ! Although I've seen him at 🤼♀️ wrestling and jiu jitsu 🥋 tournaments something about the anticipation and the length of this MMA events that make me FREAK OUT all day !! I let him fought cuz I don't want to interrupt his already natural courageous character ! I let him fought cuz I don't want to project my fears into him , i let him fight cuz not many kids can do what these kids do , train like adult PRO's and dedicate them selves as athletes and function under stress, if they can do this at this early age I wonder what can they accomplish in life in General !! Everybody has the ability to have fear but few have the ability to be courageous!! Win or loose All these kids are unbelievably courageous! And skilled ! I LET HIM FOUGHT cuz he is already a million times better than I am and that I will ever be , THANK YOU COACH Anthony Frank @frank.trained and Jon Frank .This is my #child#littleman#littlewarriors#prideandjoy#loveofmylife#littlegentleman#mancharacter#son#athlete#mmafighter#mma#jiujitsu#wrestling#grappling#grapplers#bjj#kidsbjj#kidswrestling @grapplersstudio
Swimming tips - Whip it, whip it real good!
When it comes to kicking, it’s easy to do too much. That can be tiring and not nearly as effective as a kick that looks more like a ‘whip.’ Imagine trying to flick something off your toe. The whip action starts from your hip and then engages the glutes and hamstrings to lift the leg straight up.
You should feel like you’re getting propulsion from both the downward and the upward part of the kick. If you’re doing this correctly your knees will not stay right next to each other—they will scissor apart vertically from your hips.

You are magical. That's the truth of life. God made you specifically for greatness. Not everyone will appreciate or understand your magic. Just keep believing in your greatness and don't let your magic die💞
🤸🏽♀️Head over heels because we’re half way through the week (and what a crazy manic week it is!) but also because it’s ‘rest day’ for me which means I’m going to be doing a few inversions, a nice long stretch aaaand of course, foam rolling 🏃🏽♀️ Happy Wednesday 💃🏽❤️
So our little one has got a pretty nasty little cold. Many of you parents out there know exactly what this means. Huge loss of sleep.
Now I went to bed just after 10 last night and by 11:45 was our first occurrence of the child waking. She proceeded to wake every hour at least once or twice through the whole night. The last two I remember were 4:15 am and 4:45 am. And of course this had to happen when it was my day to teach classes at 6am.
I know the parents in the room all know what this feels like.
Basically I felt hung over all day. Tired. Irritable. Lacking focus. Craving junk calories to make me feel better on the inside, which we know is a short term fix that leaves us feeling defeated after. But still it’s oh so tempting even if we’ll hate ourselves for it.
So this got me to thinking of just how important sleep is. They recommend 8 hours a day. Obviously depending on how hard you work, your health status, training regimen and overall nutrition you may require slightly more or maybe a little less. But none the less it’s hugely important to your health.
A quick pubmed search tells us that:
“Under strict experimental conditions, short-term restriction of sleep results in a variety of adverse physiologic effects, including hypertension, activation of the sympathetic nervous system, impairment of glucose control, and increased inflammation.” Short term restriction. Does all this. One or two bad nights can greatly impact your physiology more than you think. Which is why It’s so important to prioritize sleep in your routine. I cannot stress that enough!
Run all done and dusted by 6:45 🎉 easy paced for 5/6 miles and the final mile I tried to pick up the pace and managed a measly 8:40. It’s okay though I understand it’s where I’m meant to be in the process of running right now 🙏🏽 Tick the miles over for the rest of the week and next week marathon training plan OFFICIALLY begins 😁
Ps. I live behind the hospital DONT PANIC about location finish 😂
