I'm kinda in love with broccoli slaw! Makes a great mix-it-up week to my normal salads. Lunch today includes the slaw, cherries, honeyed goat-cheese, a baby avocado, and the honey mustard dressing I showed y'all earlier this week.
🥑HOMEMADE VS. SHOP BOUGHT GUACAMOLE 🥑 ⬅️Homemade 160cals per 100g ➡️Shop bought 82cals per 100g ❌Do not be fooled, yes the cals are lower in the shop bought version, BUT that's because you're getting a lower volume of actual avocado (which is a healthy fat) ONLY 3% of that bottle is avocado, due to all the other ingredients they pack into the bottle, including the second highest ingredient - single cream (30%). The shop bought guacamole includes only 3% avocado!!! Yes I had to say it again. It also includes added sugar, colours, acidity regulators and flavourings. In total 19 ingredients.
The homemade guacamole is simply avocado with a dash of lemon juice, salt, pepper and chilli flakes!
A few more facts, homemade guacamole has twice as much protein and just 0.7g of natural sugars as opposed to the 3.7g of added sugar in 100g of shop bought.
So if you're looking to put food full of nutrients into your body, go for homemade, yes it's an extra 5 mins, but it's so worth it.

I ran out of @flatoutbread wraps (the fruit wraps were a big hit in my house), so I just rolled some turkey with arugula (sf), weighed out 1sp worth of avocado and I can't resist macaroni salad, BUT that LITTLE TEENIE portion was 5sp (1/8 cup not worth it!).
