Throwback to the ultimate in Italian charm. After having the best tiramisu EVER* at Da Enzo in Trastevere, I asked if I could order another to go. The waitress first looked at me like I was nuts, but then appeased and threw some tin foil over the glass cup. By the time I left for the airport the following morning, I was so full from the previous night's three scoops of gelato, which followed a questionable watermelon cheesecake, which followed an ungodly amount of burrata, which followed a "modest" lunch of polpette and chicory, which followed a cornetto for breakfast, which followed all the things in all the weeks in all of Sicily, that I left said best tiramisu in the hotel's fridge. I regretted it as soon as I checked into my flight. Oh well. Guess I gotta go back to Italy. 🤷🏻♀️(*She knows a good tiramisu.) 🇮🇹❤️

I've been praying lately that God gives me some guidance or a sign of some sort because I feel as if I'm at a stagnant point in working towards my goals. Some of you already know I write and goal set. I have two journals I keep, one for my personal development and goals and then another to map it all out. After unpacking some yesterday, I found my original journal which I thought I lost last summer, but it was the one that I wrote down all the desires of my heart, my prayers, my goals, everything. The last time I had written in it was August 15th and what I wrote gave me chills. It was the answer I was looking for and I also was able to see "on paper" that every goal I wrote for myself that day to be achieved by the end of 2016, I have already achieved.
This morning, I went through and deleted some old pics off here (Have to do something during the long cardio sessions!) And I came across this one and what I wrote was rather appropriate. In short, God listens to you, just talk to Him and ask for guidance. #Repost (@alexandra.rigia 8/12/15)

🌸A little #throwback Thursday for you #fitfam .20 Years back .😉I decided to go in the attic and pull some #old photos out . After typing a REALLY long post for this I've decided to spare you the whole story and condense it so here goes:
That was me at at 27. My third and last #fitnesscompetition in Cancun, Mexico. Right after that I quit going to the gym , got married then had my two children. (gained 54 lbs in first pregnancy 😬) My body and fitness level yo-yo'd for the next ten years then I got divorced and went back to work full time, which gave me every excuse in the book not to #workout . As I started nearing my mid 40's I was getting more and more #cellulite , my tummy poked out and I almost looked pregnant at times 🤔 , I had to change my clothing style , never wanted to be in a bathing suit and started buying #tankini 's and didn't even want to wear sleeveless tops . Was not happy and I almost gave in, thinking it was Age related and nothing I could do about it . I NEVER thought I could come close to getting my 27 year old body back ..., BUT.... thanks to starting the @kayla_itsines #bbg program 23 weeks ago I think it just might be possible 😁. I have a post with these messages but I want young women to know that if they get to their know bodies and not only what they are capable of looking like ... but doing at a young age it will stay with them forever. Muscle has memory , remember that. And women in the 40's and older , you can get fit and battle the affects of aging . It takes a little bit of your time and dedication to your health and fitness but consistency pays off . So my throwback/ transformation isn't about showing me at my worst but what I was once at my best and share that I think I might even be able to be at my "better", inside and out .... at 48 years old. 😄

Loving the new additions to the garage gym. The rower makes it easier to add cardio without having to run all the time and the mats are perfect for floor exercises. It's so nice to be able to hit a workout without leaving the house! 👌🏽
