I feel like people don't want to hear this- but if you want to transform your body and change unhealthy habits, it takes more than just a 12 week commitment. Granted, trying to commit from the start to more than just a week at a time can feel daunting - so taking it a day at a time is ok- but you need to be PATIENT and settle in for the long haul
➡️You can't change everything at once- so making little changes (like just starting with walking more and eating out a little less often) can be a good place to start
➡️Celebrate little victories along the way and don't give up. The longer you stick with it, the more knowledge you'll gain about how best to train, how to find a sustainable way to eat, how to minimize evening binges, etc and over time you'll see more and more progress
➡️Progress doesn't always show on the scale- take pictures at least once a month, take measurements, take note of how your clothes are fitting- and celebrate strength and performance improvements
➡️If you aren't seeing progress in any of those areas, that's NOT a reason to bail back into old habits! Use that to as a knowledge base to make necessary adjustments- if you are working on fat loss, and there's been slow to no progress in 2-4 weeks, then you might be eating too much (especially if you are over eating on the weekends) or you might not be moving enough in the day
➡️ If you are underweight and have very little muscle mass, and/or have been dieting a really long time- give your body a diet break or stop dieting altogether (at least for a time if you still have excess fat to lose) and start putting your focus on eating more and increasing your resistance training
➡️You don't have to make large sweeping changes- just small adjustments and often that's all that's needed to get the ball rolling.

So....last week turned into an unintentional rest week 🙈 this is from my zones app and the black squares show where I’ve done exercise that day. I’ve been so consistent doing at least three workouts every week but last week....nothing happened. I had zero motivation to do anything. But I started to get neck pain again, headaches and feel more lethargic and have no energy and the last few days there was a nagging voice in my mind saying...’move’ ‘you need to move’. So today I put on my gear and restarted week 3 with legs today and I already feel so good. Motivation also came today from the inspiration that is @lella.fit who messaged to check up on me- kindness that turned into the kick up the bum I needed. #bbg#bbgmotivation#bbguk#bbgmums#bbgmumsover30#bbgweek3round2
Ok real talk... I only managed 1 resistance’s and 1 liss this week. I just didn’t feel like anything this week and you know what I’m ok with that. I felt like eating junk and I did, did I hate myself after yes but then I thought hey you listen to me body and mind I’m not feeling it this week so take a break and chill and start again. I tried everyday to get a workout in I didn’t just give up but each day it just didn’t happen. It’s just real life and it’s ok!!! This is for all the mums and dads out there it’s ok to have off days and be ok with it. It’s a journey we learn each day. This week I’m going to redo week 8. My Goals for this week is: I will take each day at a time. I’ll watch the food intake. I’m going to try to drink more the 1 and half litres of water a day. My one-hundred-and-first week (101) of BBG completed. I also earned my 500 hours of meditation badge from the Headspace app. Meditation has really changed my life. This week’s BBG Stronger Full Body workout was suspiciously very much like just an arms workout. Anyone else notice that too? Not that I minded. I love arms workouts. Long gone are the days when I dread any workouts. In my first year I really disliked legs day. Not anymore. I like them all. Oh except the 1,000 rep challenge 😣 how’s everyone going?
Stay focused and work hard for your results, I promise your mind, body and soul will thank you. You won't regret it! 😘

The girl on the left, clearly you can see how unhappy she is, and the girl on the right, well it takes a lot to wipe the smile off of her face these days. BBG has for real, changed my life. And I don’t mean just physically, you can see for yourself it has changed my body, but I’m more thankful for the mental change it has brought me. I have found something to lean on, something that always brings me joy. If I’m having a crappy day, I know that if I work out, I will feel so much better. I’ve learnt to LOVE looking after my body so much, thanks to @kayla_itsines BBG sweat programme. Who would of thought working out would be so much fun!?!?

One of my FAVORITE things about Christmas season? I’m all about the PAR-TAY! Getting a giant group of people you’re crazy about and rarely get to see together is one of the things I look so forward to every December! #crazyfun .
We had the BEST time last night at the annual Christmas party my family throws and my #liss partner/bff @donnam827 came and brought her AMAZING cookies too! I completely missed #fullbody Friday because the day was spent baking and prepping so my almost perfect week was thwarted by Christmas festivities but that’s 💯% OK🤷🏼♀️. .
All the foods were had, lots of laughs were shared and no one died during the White Elephant gift game (there may have been lies, deceit and the slightest bit of name calling 🤔😂) but we survived it and came home with goodies and memories that I can’t wait to share again next year!.
It’s the MOST WONDERFUL TIME of the year you guys. I hope in the midst of the busy days and stress, you have a chance to ENJOY every last beautiful moment.🎄❄️♥️
