[a single spark can start a prairie fire.] I just quickly wanna say thank you to @yomathman and @giakabobbytuna for organising the beat battle and showcase in the @thebernardshaw last Saturday and also congrats to @bitterrocc for winning!
It's absolutely insane how much talent was packed into such a small function on the night between the producers involved and other artists who came thru to spectate.
It really went to show how much Ireland has to offer and the sheer amount of relatively unknown but extremely talented and hard working producers who gave everything they had on the night.
I can happily say it was a fantastic first experience for myself in regards to these kind of events and the reception I received after getting off of the stage was phenomenal. I'm really looking forward to the next event and im excited to see how it impacts our scene in the coming months!
Massive S/O to my opponent @9threetil for bringing the heat! 📷 - @zakm

Another beat made approx 2 years ago ♩ Not mixed 🎹🎹🎹 @ilbeats
I made a lot of beats for a beat CD a couple of years ago although I don't believe I promoted the music very well. I tried to go off the fact that I hadn't been in the game for a long time hoping that people would be drawn to my music based off of my absence. Unfortunately it didn't work as well as I planned and I had to step away from music for a few reasons including my health. The reason why the profile is called @ilbeats is because I come from a sports background and these beats were made mixed and mastered when I was in an injured state. Or on the injured list.
I've never gone to any formal school for music production, mixing or mastering. Everything that I have learned has been from learning online or reading books. I had some friends I wanted to learn music production from initially, however I didn't learn as much as I was hoping to. I chose to learn as much as I could on my own and that learning turned into a bigger desire to keep learning more and more. That is the reason why I moved on to mixing and mastering.
Repetitive strain injuries are real. I'm able to balance the workload I have right now although getting back into music would be a very big strain on my body. So much that I could probably relapse and go back into an injured state where I can't really do too much besides lie down in bed.
If you can't post new music why are you posting these beats in the first place? Well at the end of the day I love making music and it's something I really want to get back into. I run a couple of side businesses (I guess you could call him my main businesses now) and once I'm able to properly balance those workloads I'm hoping to start making beats once again. In the meantime, why not promote the music I made a couple of years ago properly, gain some feedback and then create better music once I am able to get back in the studio? These beats never really got the light of day so I really see no problem giving them as much exposure as I can now.
Thanks for reading, thanks for supporting and stay tuned for some more beats. 🔥🔥🔥 @ilbeats
