My first #selfie of #2018 . I figured It was better late than never to share my thoughts of 2017. Here's the big news you've been waiting for: no, i'm not expecting. I have started gaining weight - yay!!! Why this is big news is because when I first started university, I dropped all 15 pounds to the point where I looked borderline anorexic. I felt terrible. People would comment: you're too skinny, you need to eat more, you don't look very healthy. There were points where I did some good crying. I hated how skinny I was, how petit I looked. Did they think I was starving myself? The first three years afterwards, all I did was try to gain back weight through various methods, eating pills, protein bars, shakes, stuffing myself, but nothing really worked. Metabolism runs high my family. Whenever I watched tv, they would always share with you tips on how to lose weight and I always questioned why they never showed tips on how to gain weight. Heading into 2017 brought many new and exciting changes. I bought my first car, My husband and I bought our first place together, moved out of the in-laws and back with the parents, I changed jobs, we had our wedding reception and conceived a puppy a week afterwards. It was a chaotic year. I'm not complaining; just feeling incredibly blessed. So when everything finally calmed down, and all the stress of planning and preparing slowly dwindled, I got to finally enjoy the fruits of my labour. I started to gain weight. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to gain weight or lose weight for health reasons. When people see skinny, they associate that with beauty and health. I'm sorry to break it to ya - but that isn't always the case. I'm sick and tired of being told by the media and society that being skinny is the "ideal" body that everyone should strive for. There's nothing wrong with being a plus or minus, so don't let the media and society convince you otherwise. #growingjourney#spreadtheword#cp24#feminist#love#empoweringwomen#empoweringmen#strong#beconfident#lifegoals#loveyourself#bodyimage#selfesteem#perspective#2018newbeginnings#letsbehealthytogether#positiveoutlook#behappy#staystrong#bodyimageissue

Note to self: Stop being so negative all the time. Try harder to find the positives in things. Be kinder to yourself and others. Talk to more people. Stop shutting people out. Stop caring so much about what others think, but always care how others feel. Love more. Do what makes you happy. Be happier.
Find the strength to love yourself for who you are. Take time to learn what you truly want out of your life. Please don’t ever lose yourself to the thought of love. Love yourself first, and I promise, the rest will all fall into place.
one thing i've always known and am still amazed at about every Disneyland is how happy people are and how people do their best to make others happy✨makes me think more on how to be that happy and how to make others happy everywhere on any day🤔 #hongkongdisneyland#smile#behappy#lovedisney#travels
