Leadership is a responsibility. Leaders influence, inspire and activate. As a leader, how you show up in the world is so important because of your effect and impact on the world around you.
With awareness, you can learn to choose and design this impact with intention and purpose so it remains connected to your vision and aligned with your values. In this evolution we move from actions that are conflicting and reactive- to clear, connected and compassionate. Awareness is something that can be cultivated and developed through meditation, mindfulness and practice.
I invite you to explore this within yourself. How can you create more impact? Do you have any potential blind spots that could be hindering your potential? #spiritualsuccess
It’s easier sometimes to have empathy for our small children, because it’s so obvious they are young and learning so much. It’s harder to have empathy and understanding for our teens and young adults because we think they should “know by now.” The truth is they have no idea what they are doing either. In this short video, I share what’s really going on (and not going on) inside of teens. It will give you a chuckle
Mindfulness Monday Tip 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Mindful Eating can be a way to avoid that Christmas blowout we all know we are capable of ... you know the solid 2-3 days of grazing on rich, indulgent food associated with Christmas like it’s not going to effect our weight, waistline, mood or health... sound familiar?
Here are Some tips to eating mindfully
The practice of mindful eating is simple. To eat mindfully, you simply:
1. Pause- Take a moment before eating to notice the aroma, visual appeal, and even texture of the food. Savor the various sensations which accompany your meal. This short moment will help your awareness open up so that you become more fully present to the act of eating.
2. Eat mindfully- Be mindful of the lifting of your hand/fork/spoon and the act of chewing the food itself. Pay close attention to each flavor in your mouth and notice how the food feels and smells as you eat it. As your primary point of (light) concentration during mindful eating, be fully present for the act of chewing.
3. Acknowledge thoughts, feelings, and sensations- When thoughts, feelings, or other sensations arise within your field of awareness, simply be mindful of them, acknowledging their presence, and then allow them to pass as if they were floating by on a cloud.
4. Eat mindfully (again)- Then, bring your focus back to the act of chewing. You'll lose your mindfulness constantly in the beginning. Don't worry, this is normal for any form of mindfulness practice. Simply repeat the process from steps 2-4 and attempt to eat mindfully for as much of your meal as possible.
Also try ...
⭐️ being grateful for the meal
⭐️ sitting down to eat
⭐️ look at your meal 🥘 ⭐️ eat slowly
⭐️ turn off the tv 📺 ⭐️ put down your utensils occasionally ⭐️ try chewing 30 times
⭐️ listen to you body - are you full?
⭐️ breath deeply and pause
It’s been a long time since I’ve done any yoga at home, or on a consistent basis for that matter... but considering it is on my list of #30before30 to commit to it regularly, there’s no better time than the present! It’s the only place that I really feel complete and utter calmness 🧘🏼♀️ I’m extremely excited to start a beginners yoga course in January with @_felicitywood 🙏🏼

Incredibly smooth brew day packed with Bacteria and close to 10 strains of Brettanomyces. This beer will eventually see some fruit, what’s everyone’s favorite fruit in a funky beer like this? 👇#BeMindful
How many of us are aligned on this? We are all a constant work in progress... small steps everyday 🙏🏼 Quote from the great Gandhi

Christmas is a crazy time of year for us mums 😥😴😣. And I say mums because perhaps your household operates a little differently to mine but it's barely seemed to have registered with my husband that Santa is coming down the chimney in one week🎅! Between parties, card writing, tree decorating, present shopping, menu planning, endless school engagements including nativities, fayres, more parties & carol services, plus a whole heap of other stuff there doesn't leave a lot of room for YOU! That's why I like to see such jobs as gift wrapping as #metime because it's actually quite a mindful activity, almost therapeutic and the perfect opportunity to find some #calmamidthechaos (not to mention I'm a total control freak so it's doubtful the other halfs attempts at wrapping would be up to my standards 😉). So follow my lead, stick on the Christmas tunes, pour yourself a glass of wine, light a festive candle (just not too close to the wrapping paper 🔥!) and get scissor happy. 🎁✂️😊 ...
After spending some quality time with my lovely friend Mel this morning, this quote couldn’t be more appropriate. • The people you surround yourself with are so important, they can make all the difference to how you see yourself, your life and others. • Being a mum means that you don’t always get to do the things you used to do or see your friends as much as you’d like. • It was only for a few hours but felt like so much longer. We went to the Hammam in Madrid - @hammamalandalus for those of you wondering - and I was treated to the most relaxing morning (thanks Mel for an amazing early birthday treat). • If you do one thing this Christmas, make a small amount of time for you ... it’ll do you the world of good 💫• .
Eating in the food court doesn’t have to be unhealthy! Mixed greens with tofu, grapes, avocado, and a hard boiled egg 😀
We are human and we are always only where we are in our evolution of self...we are running programs that dictate how we see the world and ourselves. Meditation and mindful awareness help us to see these programs and ‘reprogram’ ourselves..,.but it is vital that we practice compassion with ourselves along the way...last weekend I was with a friend and we were discussing another friend...just kindly mentioning her presence. The conversation started to change to one of judgment, gossip. I felt it and knew this wasn’t were I wanted to go, but I still engaged in it. I added some information relating to it, which I didn’t need to add. If I hadn’t added it, maybe the conversation would have shifted to another subject. But my contribution just added fuel to the subject...it didn’t go on for long, but I woke the next day feeling bad. I felt I let her and myself down. Of course, this wasn’t the first time I had gossiped about someone, but as I continue to live with more awareness, I rarely engage in it....but, as I lay there with the feeling of guilt and self judgement, I knew I needed to also practice self compassion...ok, so I’m not perfect, I am still refining, always will be. But I was aware, felt it during the conversation and caught myself so it didn’t go on. And, I will be more aware next time and self regulate sooner. I am love. #selflove#compassion#selfregulate#keeprefining#belove#raiseyourvibration#reprogram#knowyourself#meditate#bemindful#breathe#staypresent#evolvenz#pranabarnz

I’ve just finished watching Blue Planet 2, I’m SO emotional, Please everyone watch it, it’s so interesting & there’s so much education about what’s going on in the world beneath us, the differences we can make to the coral & the fish and also ourselves as we consume the fish. The plastics they consume & that kill the fish, wild birds and even poor little penguins 🐧 The fish we eat, that are full of mercury & plastic organisms. It’s all down to dumping rubbish in rivers, woodland areas, the pollution that’s coming from manmade factories, Most of it is out of our hands, and I’m sure a lot of people don’t litter, but if we could even just walk instead of getting into the car for short lived journeys we can make a small percentage of a difference but it’s better than no difference.. 🐧🐚🦅🐤🦐🐙🐢🐠🐟🐬🐋🐡🦈🌎🌏 #blueplanet#blueplanet2#blueplanetnutrients#blueplanetlife#blueplanettvshowbbc#bbc#blueplanet2017#walkdontdrive#dontlitter#bemindful#coral#coralreef#bleachedcoral#bleachedcoralreef
