Day 40 of #100daysofmakeupchallenge
Do you know excatly how many women & girls out there that are being abused both physically & mentally? You will be suprised when the stats appear on Google. Its a shame to see such situation still occur. I hope with my makeup skills, I can express and be a part of the movement. Lets stop domestic violence and educate our society. .
This look is inspired by an ig I took. I will leave her ig link once I get a hold of her username🐼🐼🐼🐼
Fact: @dharpooja was singing the most perfect-fitting Bollywood song in her beautiful voice while taking this photo. And thanks to her, now I’m spoiled and will only take photos if I’m being serenaded.🎶😂
Had the honor of wearing a @mitanghosh outfit—a staple Indo-Western look every #browngirl needs in her closet, not to mention the comfort level was over the top. 👗✨ And of course, we paired it with @monajy’s jewels—the perfect amount of bling for this ensemble. 💎‼️
Stay tuned for many more looks via @browngirlmag—my queens @houseofnaveda + @payalmua killed it. 👸🏽👸🏽
#womancrushwednesday ME! Most often I don't give myself enough credit. I think it's because I want so much for myself that I often focus on the end goal and rarely, if ever, give myself credit for my journey. Being an entrepreneur is a very hard and lonely road but for some reason, people think it's easy. As though because you create your own schedule you're sleeping, drinking, socializing and painting the town red. When you work your 8 hours shift, your day is done. My day doesn't have a start or end time. Sometimes I have a client at 5am so I'm up at 3. Or a shoot that starts at 9pm and goes till the wee hours to catch the perfect shot of a perfect New York City night. Days like that, there is so sleep time because am working around the clock. Now I am not writing this to complain. I am saying that deciding to work for yourself is not for the faint of heart. Have you ever heard the saying, "the race is not for the swift but for those who can endure till the end.". The story and the glory is in the journey and I am glad I'm no where near the end. When you live in and love what you do, it brings this peace, this happiness, this rare air of freedom and continual gratification that makes everyday a fruitful one. That's a blessing in itself to be able to choose the life I want to live. So today I'll take a moment to smell the roses and appreciate my courage, my strength and my willingness to continue to live my dreams till the end. I can humbly say to myself, " Danielle, you're kinda freaking amazing!" 🙌🏾💪🏾 #InHerBeauty . That's me looking at myself like, "who me?"...
.and responding to myself like, "YES Darling YOU"!
Grateful Morning! We Rise. Let your ✨light✨shine. Loving yourself gives you access to knowing who you are and making sure your happiness & wellness is priority. Self-love allows your life to fall into place. There is power in loving YOU!
💟thyself, nurture thy mind, soul & take care of thy body™

The other night I was on a local radio show live in studio in Montreal, Canada with Dr Laurie Betito and two other brilliant women on #CJAD800 . It was a late night show, on a cool fall evening in November.
As we sat down to chat. I had this feeling of inferiority come over me. I remember thinking to myself, "I am surrounded by brilliant women. They are so smart, so talented, what am I doing here?!" "How am I going to be able to match their wit, shine and articulation?"
To be honest, even after fifteen plus years in Canada, I speak English like a non native speaker. (I was born and raised in India and moved to Canada in my early twenties). Most of the time, I struggle to express my ideas. It’s a real challenge, and then to add the pressure of live radio...self-doubt, the company of women who were so quick with their answers gave me a major inferiority complex.
I had so many doubts. I felt shy, and even unsure of myself. It was almost like a panic attack.
I had to stop this negative self-talk and remind myself that I am Sexy Brilliant. All that I need to share tonight on the radio is already within me.
I got myself back to the now and gave it my 100% and said to myself: - I can’t compare myself to other women. We are all stars in our own way. - I must be authentic and for me that is to be the same person on screen and at home. Just Be. It will be OK. - Even if I mess up on live radio, I will recover quickly.
The next time you doubt yourself and your brilliance, please stop the tape playing your own insecurities in your mind.
Remember we are enough. We are always good enough.

I was trying to take the perfect non weird light picture but couldn’t get one.. then I was like eh whatever maybe I’ll edit it out. Girl I ain’t got time for all that 😂❤️. This post is more about information anyways! This palette is BOMB! This is their medium to dark face palette which has a contour shade, a sculpt shade, and a highlight! I’ve been using this palette everyday since I got it. No joke. It gives me that perfect subtle sculpt. Snatching my whole life! I didn’t even wait to use this palette to take pictures like I do with other items. I dove right tf in - in there like swimwear. 😂 Need to test out their other products a$ap!! @blackradiancebeauty
