I passed my favorite outdoor selfie spot this afternoon, so I naturally proceeded to take probably the most extra #ootd pictures in my personal history of selfies. Swipe to see my real feelings.
Also, it was 32F (23F with wind chill), so yes, my hands got pretty numb, but my ankles actually handled the cold like a champ!

This design by Christopher Salas @alternaknit was my first test-knit ever! I loved the process and to do the work for someone who’s designs I love so so much was an absolute joy! The pattern is called “In the Great Basin,” inspired by the landscapes of Christopher’s (and my) home state of Nevada! I’ve been waiting for the perfect Michigan day to take photos of this lovely, cozy thing and this chilly damp day was just perfect for wrapping up and showing her off a bit. Go get the pattern, grab your favorite bulky, and settle in. This thing can be done with your eyes closed and the rewards are... well... just look. 💕🤓
Confession: I love the look of cables, but I’ve been afraid of them since I began knitting two years ago. But my crafter in crime @msbluetuesday always inspires me to try new crafts, so this is my first attempt.
The verdict: prepared to be spammed with cable posts because I. AM. IN.LOVE.

Feeling a little stir crazy today! Like I am trapped inside staring out my window wondering about all the dozens of markets I am missing out on😢. Brighton has gotten a form of croup what seems like every winter since he was one now. And without fail it seems to be that first week of true snow fall.
