✨Maltese Press Pushup Progression ✨
Follow @Mintzflow for more gymnastics inspired fitness, mobility, and prehab drills. ------------------------------------------
Here is a great "beginner" Maltese progression I use with some of my online coaching clients. It is by no means easy, which is why I put beginner in quotes, but here I show two regressions for the skill. The more of your arm you have on the step the easier the exercise. As you get stronger you'll move the step closer and closer to your wrist. The shape I am looking for is protracted shoulders and hollow body at the top with locked elbows. This is a great exercise to start strengthening the distal biceps tendon for straight arm work since the elbow is supported, but still active. Straddling the legs makes this one a bit easier.
Just wanted to send out a quick thank you to everyone who watches my videos and takes the few moments to like and leave me a comment or DM. While I don't do this for the ego boost, it does make me feel good to be able to interact with you all and encourages me to come up with more content. If you like what I post, or prefer me to do some mobility posts let me know. I also have videos of my work with clients if that would interest you. Let me know in the comments what kind of content you'd like for me to bring you. I appreciate you all!

#CALISTENIA (LINK EN MI PERFIL)
On Friday it's been 1 year since my sports/fit/love journey began 💕 This is one of the things I've learned my body could do. I could do 1 chin-up in the beginning, then 4 etc. Then I could do 1 pull-up, then 8 - and last time I tried I did 3 pull-ups with added 10 kg. I'm loving the journey and to experience what my body can do. 👊🏼 #progress#pullups
Transformation Tuesday: I was recalling how three years ago before my divorce a co-worker referred to someone he'd met recently and said "he reminded me of you, all bright and happy." I was genuinely surprised. I never considered myself to be happy. After a while I realized that I allowed myself to be myself at with because no one criticized me. No one belittled me. I could be honest and open with no fear of refusal or rebuttal. I am becoming myself. I am so much happier! Yes, I still have down days and I still PMS but I actually can spend the majority of my time as a happy individual. The most major change has been inside. 😊🌺 #transformationtuesday#itsmyfriday#lovinglife#happiness#satisfaction#calisthenics#womenwholift#girlswholift

I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship. ― Brené Brown
Thank you to this man for always making me feel seen, heard and valued. . .
