I don’t and will not take credit for anything Vic has been doing this season. 
All I did was get his body to work and function the way the human body is meant to perform. 
We don’t get lucky at DBC, as much as are critics like to say we do.
Our system is designed to help all athletes reach their full potential, and Vic is just a reflection of that once again.

Here we have basketball athlete Ivan completing band pull aparts for upper back “activation” before upper body “pressing”
.
Due to excessive sitting a high amount of people have poor upper body posture (ie rounded shoulders & WEAK rhomboids/lower trapz = stabilisation muscles)
.
Cue athlete not to flare ribs so they don’t dump into extension (anterior pelvic tilt) and lose their “core”
.
Cue GLUTE squeeze to maintain full body “tension”
.
Pull band apart while thinking about pinching shoulder blades together
.
The idea is to activate and strengthen the muscles the stabilise the shoulder & scapula = lower trapezius & rhomboids
.
Like most exercises I coach my athletes to iso hold to strengthen neural drive and connection to muscle of interest (think mind-muscle connection)
.
This movement is fantastic to add before any pressing movements (bench press & overhead press)

I created this method when I was personal training (19 years old to 26) and wanted to give my clients the BIGGEST bang for their training buck

99% of people you train in commercial gyms want 1. Fat loss 2. Muscle gain 3. General health & fitness or a combination of ALL 3
.
I never understood trainers who isolated their clients (splitting muscle groups - chest/tris, back/bis etc) or completed BORING LSD (long slow distance) “cardio” on the stationary bike (yes ..let’s turn their glutes off more and keep their hips in flexion ..always a great idea ..NOT 🤣🔥)
.
Moreover the BIGGEST complaint clients have when it comes to training is TIME ...the old “I have no time”
.
Well now you do with my 4 way method which you only need to complete 2 x per week (2 full body sessions - 1 “push” 1 “pull”)
.
Session takes NO longer than 40 mins (inc movement prep)
.
Here what you do; choose 1 lower compound lower body strength movement - choose 1 upper body compound strength movement, 1 conditioning movement (15/30s) & 1 “core” movement = 4 way method
.
In this video I complete a “pull” circuit; 
1. RDL
2. DB prone row
3. 15 s battle ropes
4. Reverse band woodchop
.
Reps can be high for fat loss/muscle gain or lower for strength (lower trained ind)
.
In this video I completed 12, 10 & 8 Reps - rest 2 mins between sets and it BLOWS you up!
.
Centrally (CNS) is working the whole time but peripherally (muscular) you are resting (ie lower to upper body)
.
Due to the taxing nature of these big, basic strength movements you not just stressing the CNS but creating a high metabolic cost (calorie expenditure)
.
Complete with maximal effort and high quality REPS
.
Technique ALWAYS = #1 If too heavy drop weight and work on bar SPEED
.

🔷8 oz cherry tomatoes 🔶🔶Heat oven 350 degrees
🔶🔶Place chicken on pan and arrange potatoes around chicken
🔶🔶Drizzle olive oil, S&P and herbs then put in over for 35-40 mins
🔶🔶After 20 mins, add zucchini and garlic
🔶🔶For the last 10 mins of cooking add tomatoes
🔶🔶Enjoy!!!

The stationary bike is an awesome tool for someone wanting to get some cardio in or someone coming back from some knee issues. However, too often it is used incorrectly!

When riding bikes as children, we try to race the other neighborhood kids, pushing as hard as we can to be faster. Typically, these bikes have no foot straps nor do kids use biking shoes. Because of this, biking becomes a quad-dominant exercise.

Because such emphasis is placed on the quads at a younger age, we neglect the hamstrings when we do have foot straps or access to biking shoes when we are older. Due to this emphasis, it can lead down a path of chronic knee pain (a path my fiancée is dealing with now!).

Therefore, instead of pushing the pedal over and over, try PULLING the pedal upwards to recruit those hamstring muscles and help take some stress away from your knee.

Physical preparation is not just about lifting “weights” but at a young age it’s about developing “core” movement competency on body weight movements

At a young age the junior athletes nervous system is like “putty” and adapts quickly to the stimulus imposed
.
Far too many junior athletes just “play” their sport and train which does NOT develop the athletic neuromuscular qualities needed for long term performance & injury reduction = strength, power, speed, mobility etc
.
Body weight patterns such as; body weight squat, lunges (all directions), bridges, body weight RDL”s, push up (& variations), supine row, chin up (& variations) & landlmine press are ALL basic & fundamental motor patterns that need to be progressed and regressed based on junior athlete movement competency

Basic motor skills such as A, B, C & D skips (video shown),vertical force vector (box jump - CMJ), horizontal force vector - broad jump (video shown)

These basic motor skills need to be coached & broken down properly at a young age will lead to better prepared and robust junior athletes
