Chris Evans' portrayal of the character could easily have come off as corny and cliché but he managed to turn a B-list character into a cinematic icon that will no doubt go down in film history. Will be sad to see him leave the franchise soon but I'm confident that he'll be given a great send-off.
This year I decided to make a gift for White Elephant. A hand-drawn and framed Bobby Hill piece. Thanks to @realmikejudge and @pamelaadlon for creating one of my favorite animated characters of all time.
Finally got the last iss... book of this series.
Now let's see how Ian Fleming's adventure comes to an end. (Actually I wanted to post Game of Thrones but again (!) I discoverd scratches on the discs - seems to be a habit with Warner Brothers TV-show Blurays because it happend to me four times this year)
💀Dead Man Walking💀
This is an interesting one. The story is told from the first person perspective of the ancient Vrykolakas, Severin. Vrykolakas being the original breed of vampire. In this story we learn more about the mysterious hooded figure, Morana, who has been following Mammon the past few issues most notably in Voodoo Child issue 169. Severin is awakened by Morana, who appears on behalf of Mammon to recruit the Vrykolakas for the next phase of Mammon's plan. Severin recalls when Morana was just a baby; a vampiric hybrid brought to the Vrykolakas by Mammon to be raised in secret. Severin is tasked with biting Spawn and passing the Vrykolakas' curse to him in exchange for eternal death. After 2,000 years of living with the curse, Severin accepts Morana's offer so that he may finally have peace. Meanwhile Spawn and Nyx try to help Marc understand Mammon's game and Spawn's role in all of it. Severin disrupts their meeting and after a brief scuffle, Spawn is bit. The bite affects Spawn instantly causing him to collapse. Severin slips away as Nyx and Marc rush to Spawn's aid. With his task completed, Severin claims his reward. Morana hands him a mystical orb and explains that there is a new order in the world, under Mammon's rule of course, but Severin doesn't seem too interested and is pulled into the black abyss of the orb, presumably to his death. What happens next is up for interpretation but it looks like Severin gets stuck in some kind of groundhog day-type limbo. Reliving the same day over and over again. Which would make sense because Mammon is the ruler of Limbo. I guess being a fallen angel of heaven and talent scout for Malebolgia allowed him to move into the gray areas between Heaven and Hell i.e. Limbo. This is a really loose description, might need a fact check but I think that about sums it up.
