Nothing like a fist bump 🤜 🤛 and and awesome compliment before heading into some front squats!! This is Steve and he said I was amazing and beautiful.. and then after his lifts he talked more and said he use to see me at golds when I worked there and here and I was always working hard.. we’ve crossed paths before and has said nice things then too! But sometimes compliments go a long way! Thanks Steve! (And no he was not being creepy) if a man gives you a compliment it’s not always creepy 😏 #compliments#frontsquats .

Introducing Melanie, #358 Wow Woman!
Do you need a new outfit at a thrifty price? Do you live in Austin and want to support an animal rescue organization? Then Austin Pets Alive thrift store is the place to go! Whatever purchase you make gives a homeless pet a new chance at life. Everyone that works there is a volunteer, including Melanie whom I met there today.
One of the managers overheard me asking Melanie what was remarkable about her. She had to chime in: "What's great about Melanie? She's a great dresser, a skilled artist and has an enormous heart for volunteering. Melanie is our SOS! When we’re in a bind, Melanie always comes through to the rescue!"
Doesn't it feel great to hear such compliments? I've written about it before, but we just don't take enough time to verbally compliment people. Melanie has had a hard week and she needed to hear that today. She needed to hear me thank her for all of the ways she gives of HERSELF.
Melanie had a good friend pass away last week. Understandably, she's been emotional, especially since that friend died an unnecessary death and also died as an Atheist. Its breaking Melanie's heart. She needed her spirits lifted, which is exactly what her manager and I did today.
Melanie is an illustrator and works from home. Volunteering at Pets Alive gives her an outlet for interaction and satisfies her need for retail therapy! She also volunteers as a reader to 1st and 3rd graders. If that'not enough, she also volunteers her time to help with her two teenage boy's activities. Melanie simply gives, gives, and gives of herself and her time.
Melanie illustrates craft stamp designs used for card making. She's illustrated and sold over 80 stamp set designs. She's also written two books about crafting and stamping. If that's not enough, she regularly updates a blog and YouTube video channel. (melanie.muenchinger.blogspot.com)
Melanie recognizes the blessing of being able to volunteer a lot and not concern herself with financial matters since her husband is a great provider. She's able to be in control over her schedule and not let her schedule control her.
Melanie is a giver and a spectacular WOW woman!
My ma just picked up a packet of the school work and notes from my teachers... OH MY GAWD! My teachers value me WAY to much! Seriously. Two teachers went and said I’ll ace all the work I missed; my math teacher is saying I can use that class time to study for any class and or stay at home and sleep in since I have them for my morning classes; and two teachers spelled my name wrong... they spelled my name Anabel... it’s Annabelle... All my teachers gave me so many damn compliments! Agh! I’m overwhelmed with kindness!
On the other hand I’m also overwhelmed with work to do, so wish me luck! I’ve turned on some chill music, and I’m about to drag my backpack onto my bed so I can delve into a world of papers and knowledge.
There’s something about receiving a compliment from another woman especially when she’s a stranger. Sorry guys. It’s just different. I was in Target for 20 minutes (a miracle) and was complimented twice. I walked out with a bigger smile on my face and a happier demeanor. What a simple thing to make the world a better place. #compliments#womenempowerment#thanksladies#ineededthat

This is such a biggy! Please celebrate the beauty in others and the world. I’ve heard people say “god she’s beautiful but if never tell her as she’ll get a big head” ummm 🤨 everyone loves to hear the parts of them that you see are beautiful whether it’s the way they look of the art the make, the dinner they cook, we all want to be making the world more beautiful. We all need to lift each other up! You’d be surprised how it will completely change someone’s day. Also the law of attraction works this way, what you put out you receive, what you celebrate you receive, also what you fear you receive. An example is...if you long to have “beautiful clear skin” and you see someone that see does and you feel ugly and jealous then you attract more skin problems. But id you see them and feel that beauty and celebrate it and tell them how beautiful they are you attract that beauty to yourself. It’s that easy. Life is a mirror to our thoughts and emotions. It’s time to stop competing like there is only a limited amount of beauty/things and talent in the world and start tapping into the limitless infinite potential “everyone” has. Best place to start is to step out of our own fears and lift one another up! #youaremysunshine#youarebeautiful#compliments#magnifystrengths#iloveyou#yourafuckingtalent#lawofattraction#beauty#manifestation#positivevibes
So on our way home from Bambi group this little one wanted feeding. We stopped on a bench and an old man came and sat next to us. I have to admit I thought " oh here we go, going to be told how inappropriate I am 😂" but instead he sat and told me all about his life in Africa and how he has 6 siblings and that he can't remember a single time he hasn't seen his mother or Aunt or Sister without a little one at the breast. He went the shop and came back with a bottle of water and biscuits and told me "how refreshing it was to see me breastfeeding" and then went on his merrry way... Tis the little things people, made me super happy and super proud of myself 💚 #breastfeeding#milk#mine#outandabout#compliments#proud#goodday 👌💜💜

Have you ever met someone and instantly connected with them? It felt like you’d been friends for years? That’s how it feels when you first meet Jennie. From the first day I met Jennie she has always made me feel welcome, comfortable enough to be myself and inspired. She meets you where you are right now in life and helps you dream and push towards where you want to be. She accepts the perfectly imperfect you and embraces you with open arms and her loving smile.
Jennie and my friendship started when I took my first ever Pilates class at her studio, Move. Pilates & Yoga . I was visibly nervous and she instantly made me feel at ease with her friendly smile and positive upbeat energy. She was encouraging and authentic. She never hesitates to compliment and lift up other women. Her ability to be open and real about her imperfections and insecurities and at the same time be so quick to compliment others is very refreshing. Women seem to struggle with giving compliments to one another, but they roll out of Jennie so easily and genuinely. She isn't competitive with other women, she is everyone's cheerleader. She wants all women to be their best and feel their best. In this way, she truly is inspiring.

Never under-estimate the power of a compliment. I remember the first one that this lovely woman, Shannon, gave me, back in one of our college Accounting classes in 2004. It stirred something long dead inside me - belief in myself. She found something nice to say to me every time she saw me, she encouraged my first attempts to work out and supported my eating habit changes and simply was a positive cheerleader in my life. It’s a journey of a million steps but it started with one kind word. So be like Shannon. Encourage someone around you. Compliment them. It could change them in unbelievable ways! @sldane6504
