Kent Falls Trapped in Habitual Nostalgia Blonde Ale w/ Centennial and Citra (4.5%). Quite simply this is a men amongst boys when it comes to Blondes. This beer literally takes the style to a whole new level. Straight up Eureka on steroids.
It pours an opaque hazy yellow with a tiny neat white head that leaves patches of soapy lacing that quickly vanish.
The nose is earthy as heck with some citrus and stone fruit notes coming through as well.
The taste bring tons of vibrant citrus Starburst notes. It’s uncharacteristically hoppy and incredibly dank for the style with that signature Kent Falls farmhouse funk.
I’d love to drink this all day, and considering the price and ABV, I probably could!
And my boy @beersonwindowsills comes through with an excellent score! Pain stakingly waiting in line for a case, not a 6 pack....a case of @newenglandbrewing #doublefuzzybabyducks and of course freshly canned. Boy this beer is amazing and I’m currently on my second one so apologies for any typos! Lol. But where to begin, tons of depth and flavor to this IPA, it’s a big beer, and to be honest, it’s ive had one that was warmed up, and one served ice cold....I think prefer it chilled....Once it hits your lips! It’s so good! Again, thank you #beersonwindowsills for the excellent score. Cheers! 🍻
Just had this brew by @thimblebeer called #ghostislanddipa , it was piney, hoppy, and more a west coast style that finishes like strong bitter but it suprisingly fades off! I like to try different beers whether it's, juicy, dank, high or low ABV or IBU. You should too!!! Paired with my @outerlightbrewing pint glass to stay with the nautical theme (they are located on the coast), the colors (kinda) match, and both companies are from Connecticut! #cheers 🍻 #beerblogger#beergeek#craftbeer#connecticutbeer#gothopsblog#lifeisgood
Name: The One That Kicked
Brewer: ______ Brewing
Notes: First IPA and can brewed by Twelve Percent Beer Project at Overshores. It didn't disappoint. From notes to color to taste everything was on point. Juicy, hazy and fluffy. 💣💣💣
Local IPA review. Pioneer vs. Hooker. I'm a girl that supports local business as a small business owner and a gal that works for a CT manufacturing company. I'm also a bartender and a foodie and appreciate flavor. Friends asked me to compare two local IPA's. To be honest neither can from the outside grab my attention. I find both basic. Now it is a rally, what tastes better and lives up to the name? Pioneer, hoppy, floral and tropical. YES! Maybe a tough first gulp for a person that doesn't appreciate IPA's but it's like an Italian Red. The more you drink, the more you appreciate and love. Hooker......the description on the can matches the beer, an unfiltered IPA exploding with fruit juice. I feel like this beer could be in the same aisle as Very Fine juice boxes. Hooker c'mon. Where are the fulfilling bubbly's? The flavor is fantastic if you add a Dom to the mix and make that bubble in the mouth. Hands down Pioneer wins. #connecticut#connecticutbeer#ipa#local#brewery#ctbrews#beer#hooker#pioneer
