The second Anangu Schools Cook-Off Competition was recently held at DECD’s APY Trade Training Centre in Umuwa. Supported by our Hospitality and APY Lands programs, the competition saw students from seven towns across the region compete by preparing three courses and presenting them to a panel of professional judges for testing and tasting. All students who competed are undertaking certificates in hospitality and kitchen operations, so it was a fantastic opportunity to put their skills to the test! #hospitality#cooking#communityengagement#outback#countryaustralia#studyatTAFESA
Maybe it's the sealer fumes making me emotional but I never would've thought years ago when I followed my heart to Canada I would end up home producing some of the concrete styles I learned there. It's been hard trying to get people in Perth to open their mind to stamped concrete. Given absolute freedom on this job, I feel I have captured the raw beauty of country Australia in this one down in Meelon. It's been a mission back and forth but I am stoked with the result and couldn't be happier. #wolfcrete#perthconcrete#southwestaustralia#stampedconcrete#countryaustralia#dontmesswiththelocals
I hate it when people say this but seriously - 'take me back'. .
It was overcast and raining the majority of the time I was in Byron but it was still amazingly beautiful. In fact palm trees/rainforest may be a little more special when the weather's not perfect. My favourite thing about them is the noise they make swaying in the wind...
So it all started with a seed I gave one some seeds as he appeared to be looking in my window asking me one day. Then he told a few friends then they told a few now about 18 turned up tonight for two feeds seems to grow by numbers each week. They send one to come sit on a pot near the door to tell me the others wait in the trees. I come out to feed them and they all come down when I go back in. #australianbirds#australiangalah#lovebirds#mybird#wildpetbird#countrylife#countryaustralia
There’s no fence on earth that can steal that feeling of freedom road tripping across Australia.
Back in Melbourne now after a fantastic weekend at @finders_keepers Brisbane and although I’d love to keep travelling these roads, it’s good to be home for a little while. A huge thanks for your love Brisbane! If you missed us in Brisbane, keep a look out for more market dates or check out our store via our bio link and have a great day!
Talk about country charm! These Belted Galloway cattle have a picturesque spot, grazing across lush green paddocks under the blue skies of Evandale. Thanks @wendythornphotography for sharing this wonderful capture with #MidlandsTasmania . 🐄
Hey @el_santotaco, I was editing this one up for the black and white photo challenge, and your sunset came through my feed, I had exactly the same thoughts about this pic.. Stranger Things has damaged us lol. I must confess I was tempted to redden the sky and add a particular shadow ;) #samsunglife#adobelightroom#blackandwhite#countryaustralia
A little slow off the mark this morning after spending a week in beautiful, beautiful Byron Bay. Probably the most relaxed and focused I've ever felt after a break. .
I had to stop here and say the biggest thank you - literally thousands (!!) of you looked at my new web site while I was gone. .
You are all amazing and I have so much love for you and your gorgeous support.
I hope you're well all? I will catch up today x
