Plan to have 5-7 tradelines (credit accounts) being reported on your credit files. Some lenders require a minimum number of active tradelines be open or reported to grant you new credit. This is particularly true of many mortgage lenders. In other words, if you only have 1 or 2 accounts showing on your credit reports you may not have enough credit history to be approved.

Staying organized is a huge part of the credit repair process. One very important thing is to document everything you do (dates and times of phone calls, people you spoke with, what they said, what your action was, etc.), and keep copies of everything you send them. Don't send original documents -- send copies. Remember to be aggressive and persistent so that you can see results.
Let the paperwork begin - You will begin a long and often arduous task of writing letters explaining the inaccuracies. First, send a letter to the CRA to give your side of the story and try to set straight the inaccuracies that have been reported. The letter should include your name and address and explain what is inaccurate and why. Tell them the facts and request a correction to your report. It would also help to include a copy of your report with the incorrect information circled, along with copies of any documentation that supports your claim. Send your letter by certified mail with a return receipt so you know it was received. Keep a record of everything you sent. Second, send a letter to the merchant or creditor who supplied the incorrect information to make it known that you are disputing it. Send copies of the documentation that supports your claim, just as you did with the CRA.
FACT: Marital Status does not report on a credit report. However Credit stills plays an important role in couples’ lives particularly if they want to finance a vehicle or a home. Couples shopping together should keep in mind that the individual with the lowest credit scores in any couple can dictate lending terms even loan approval rate for the pair IF they are applying jointly.

When I saw this video I immediately shouted YES!! And had to repost. The whole purpose of the Girl Boss Movement is to literally put other women in the position to win, not just talk about how I've been successful. I help women launch a business that provides them an additional stream of income, I help them figure out their WHY and what their goals are, then I help them build on their business and create a brand for themselves that truly represents them. I help each person with their website, I'm constantly on the phone with them helping them make money, and coordinating team calls to show them how to run their business. I'm literally helping women create the life they want, not just by talking about it, but by actually putting in the work. And as an added bonus, they're helping others everyday along the way because when God blesses you, it's not just for you. It's for YOU to bless others too! Now THIS is what it is all about!! #100girlBOSSES
Success doesn't happen by accident. Successful people focus on the process and often manage to enjoy it.
You might set the goal of running a marathon, for example, but research suggests it'll only be through a steady running routine that you'll end up being successful.
So identify your goal, create a plan and imagine yourself achieving that goal and do what it takes to get it done.
Success doesn't just happen! You've got to have a plan and work on it daily and consistently!
And your plan should be driven by your goals.
So if your goal for the week is to start the dispute process so you want to start by analyzing your credit report for errors. So for example you could do things like: - Create a worksheet with all of the information on your credit report and look for every errors small to big. For example: you should look for inaccurate name, date of birth, or ss number, outdated addresses, wrong account number, incorrect account balance, inaccurate credit limits.
Once you have identified all of the errors you can start implementing a dispute strategy. A large part of the credit dispute process is planning and staying organized so locating your errors is a great starting point.
My point is to create a plan, work on it and stick to it consistently regardless of whether you see immediate results or not. Think twice before requesting to be added as an "authorized user" to someone's credit card. It can add years of positive credit to your report, but it can also come with consequences.
Sure, you may not legally be responsible for the debt associated with that account, but your credit can be affected, for better or for worse....a little harsh...right? 😐
Being an "Authorized User" can impact your credit situation in a number of ways:
• The accounts you're an authorized user on will appear on your credit report.
• This setup can make you look bad.
Essentially, the primary account holder's actions looks like your own. If they "miss a payment" on that credit card, you miss a payment. If they rack up an extremely high "credit card utilization", so do you. This KILL your credit score, the exact opposite of what you want.
• So be smart. Only join up with someone who has their financial accounts in order. #creditadvancedservices#improvingoverallcredit#jessmycreditcoach
If you have fair or poor credit do not apply for credit you may not get. Credit turndowns result in inquiries on your credit reports which subtract points from your credit scores. So if are trying to rebuild your credit status and you're not sure of your approval odds, start with a secured credit card.
