Guys, @clairetlindsey will be in NYC in 2 days! I cannot contain my excitement. I would not be where I am today without this AMAZING woman. She inspires me daily and pushes me to work harder. Get your booty here 👏🏼
I've been feeling really nostalgic recently. So here's a clip of me working with @oneonethree - @hollybroomhall @makeup_by_danielle and @lornafennebavis. I still can't believe the angel alongside me is no longer with us. We literally spoke a week before I heard the news. I said I'd go visit her in the hospital, I was waiting for her to tell me which hospital....R.I.P beloved.
"i have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." - sarah williams
i have never understood society's neurotic fear of darkness.
darkness is calm; darkness is mystery; darkness is creativity, potential rebirth, new beginnings, deep thought and introspection. without darkness, we cannot see how beautifully the stars burn. in short, darkness has gotten a bit of a bad rap in recent years.
what happens if on a spiritual and mental health level, we fail to acknowledge and accept our darkest shadows within us? what happens when we fail to embrace our full human experience, and instead deny self-awareness or growth? i can tell ya...the results ain't pretty.
i decided to write a post about why we should all be a little more welcoming towards our dark side - and how this gives us a huge shift towards empowerment and strength within our lives. it's also pretty essential for our mental health. there may or may not be star wars references aplenty. but who can blame a gal, eh? the link is in my bio so please have a read. ps. photo is from my back garden night sky...it's genuinely something i treasure with all my heart 💙🌌
Her eyes could burn down the room. Because behind those eyes was all the pain and heartbreak she faced. His words, his love and his touch dance around her mind. Every moment shared together plays like a never ending movie filled with disaster. To turn it all off she dances in the dark.
#selfcaresunday ✨ I challenged myself the last months and showed parts of my body on pictures, which I thought were 🚫 "not perfect" or "not instagram-able". But this body is #real 🙏🏼 . It's beautiful & perfect in its own way. 🌸
It's so important to show on social media your "flaws" beneath all the super perfect butts and breasts here on Insta 🙏🏼 How can a "real" body not be beautiful too? 🤔
This body shows other women that you can & should love your body at any size 🙌🏼 & that there are so many definitions of "perfect"✨ in this world. ☝🏼Treat your Body with love and don't punish yourself for "flaws". Your body is worth it and it'll thank you for that acceptance and love. ❤
I've been alive for 21 years.... NEVER in all that time had I worn a 2 piece suit in public, let alone have my picture taken in one. My journey to self love has been a long one but I'm so happy where I'm at now. So this one is for me... the girl who was told "You know you'd be beautiful if you lost weight" or "It's not meant for a girl your size". I let these words hold me back for so long and to be free from them is so wonderful. Thank you Travis for these pictures, you were so positive and encouraging during this shoot, you could probably I was out of my comfort zone haha it was an amazing growing experience and I loved every single second of it. morning routine even on a sunday - keeping mind, body and soul all happy and recharged for a better you.
mornings are the perfect time to reconnect to a greater meaning in life and remind yourself how special you are. it's the calm before the storm - before our thoughts get littered with self-doubt and anxiety. it's an opportunity to arm yourself with kindness, confidence and strength for the day ahead. humans are creative, vibrant beings - we need to delve deep within ourselves and find an outlet for that energy in a way that doesn't involve sitting at a desk for hours at a time, or staring at a screen in a zombie-like manner.
whether you meditate, go for a walk, get in some reading or creative writing...remember, it's so important to be kind to yourself. when you're kind to you, you can be kind to others...and that's when we can start changing the world together☺️🙏🏻🌌
Just tyin' that pony. #summernights in #October with @theemerrell and 📸:@aduck417! #girlsnight
A recent post by @emmieanemone resonated with me about developing early (before age 14) and the struggle to embrace your #curves when you do. Here's a snippet "You can imagine the comments I received. Introducing myself to someone older only to hear "look at that baby makin' body!" Instead of "Hello". A pinch here, a grab there. There's a reason I look like I'm hiding in most group photos from middle school and high school. I was.
When I chose to embrace my curves and show them off, I'd be called names by the girls around me or be perceived as promiscuous by the guys (which then made me a bitch for not meeting their expectations). Cover them up and I'd be labeled as shy, boring and internally less confident."
I still get those comments, expectations and the unwanted touches from randoms and even friends but now I'm far more self-confident and able tell them exactly where to go with that mindset. It took a while but the #bodypositive movement and seeing more diverse female forms celebrated and lauded have really helped and I'm forever grateful to accounts like hers that show us we aren't alone. #perfectlyme .
