If this is standard service in Canada as my friend warned me, I pity dog owners here. For 68$, my dog's fur was so uneven it's unbelievable, not to mention that fur is nowhere near 5mm-length I specified; they bathed her first and shaved after bathing, so now I have to explain dog fur all over the flat to my temporary flat owners. I politely asked that they at least fix the uneven parts and give her a shower to remove the excess fur from her, but they didn't fix unevenness and the fur still falls off and onto everything she touches! I was trying hard to stop myself from making a scene there on the spot (either by crying in exasperation or yelling in revolt) but hey, at least now I know that I need to specifically say that I want tail shaving as well, if I want it included in full groom. They specified on the website that they don't like shaving double-coated dogs (why did you accept to care for my dog, then?!), but this has been done with my dog for years in consultation with vets - she never had sunburns or particular issues with heat - and we come from a country a lot hotter than Canada. Be honest with people and state that you don't like shaving double-coated dogs because you don't know how and because it takes mpre time to do it properly. Back in my country, for three times less price she'd look perfect! Now I know which business to open here.
ADOPT GALELIO! He is a 4 year old, 65lb male #hound . Lots of people think that hounds do best out in the country but they could not be more wrong – hounds make wonderful family dogs and are perfectly happy in urban or suburban areas. Hounds have sweet and gentle natures and just want to be part of the family. Galileo is certainly one such case. This big, handsome but very gentle a friendly hound just wants to be friends with everyone – people of all ages and any dog he happens to meet. Galileo is living in a kennel right now but we hope to find a foster soon and will be able to post more information then.
Nothing makes me happier than to be able to say, I have a dog, and this is my dog.
For as long as I can remember, a puppy was at the top of my birthday and Christmas list every year.
My parents, however, never wanted a dog.
I even remember walking other people's dogs and playing with them and telling my mom how great it would be to have my own dog.
And then I lost myself to depression... I entered total darkness and my happiness drained away and shriveled into nothing.
My mom decided to give it a chance because she thought a dog would be perfect to lift me up again.
And she was right - I still struggle, but Hayley has become the light in my tunnel. She came to me when I needed her most. ❤️🐶 •
