Last April I had an exploratory laparoscopy done to discover the cause of my chronic severe abdominal pain. During the surgery the doctor found A LOT of endometriosis (what she suspected was the cause of my problems). She lasered it all out and then put me on continual birth control to try and prevent it from growing. After my LONG recovery I had 2 months completely pain free and it was incredible... But the day after those 2 months were over it was as if I had never had surgery. I then went to a doc that specializes in female pelvic pain, and he had planned on waiting until the end of the year for surgery (to try other things first) but due to my severe pain went ahead with surgery this past Wednesday. What he found was ALL of my endometriosis plus some had already grown back in less than 5 months. He said I have stage 4 endometriosis (the worst you can have). It was everywhere and it was deep. He cut it all out, took out my appendix (which was also covered in endometriosis), and considered removing one of my ovaries (but didn't due to my young age). This recovery has been much more painful than the last one and I'm sure just as long. I don't know what is going to happen with all of this, but I know eventually the doc will recommend hysterectomy. Only time will tell... Right now, I'm just going to keep cuddling my puppy dogs during my recovery.💞 #puppiesmakeeverythingbetter .
