The good new is that the Guggenheim has removed the pieces of "art" containing animal cruelty. The bad news is that they are "dismayed" to do so as they believe it hinders free speech. 🤔 The other bad news is that someone threatened violence against the museum which is never the solution. 😔And they do not mention the more than half a million signatures and all the public pressure against these works. This is a shame on our city. As Mayor of Queens, I shall work toward cruelty free art ( through peaceful protest) not just in my borough, but in all of the city 👊🐶And I hope the rest of the world will follow our example! #crueltyfreeplease#repost from @sophiegamand #tortureisnotart#shameontheguggenheim#dontbullymybreed#pittylove
Yesterday was one of those days that started off rough from the second I opened my eyes until the second I closed them. I had 30+ people who all needed something from me, all equally important. We had our normal insane Monday at work and I had my normal insane zoo at home to deal with as well. I didn't know what today was going to be like but I wasn't excited about another day of chaos and drama. Well I woke up to this, the most amazing snuggles as soon as I opened my eyes ❤ #BusatheBrave knew I needed to know it was all going to be ok. He gave me the extra strength to get out of my bed and take on the day! I love my survivor baby and how he pushes me daily to stop and breathe. I can handle anything with this dog by my side ❤ #anxietysucks#butBusakicksitsbutt#ifhecandoitsocani#inittogether#forevermysidekick#dontbullymybreed#loversnotfighters#whorescuedwho
Rain or shine, heat or... um... extreme heat, that doesn't stop our dedicated volunteers from enriching the lives of rescue dogs. Look at these two smiling ladies! Sorry, only the one on the right is for adoption, but it's clear how happy they both are. You can't help but be happy around new girl, Wonder. This young adult #americanbulldog is easy to walk, gets along well with other dogs, and is super affectionate. She is a WONDERful dog, yet she was dropped off in the Redlands to fend for herself. Safe and healthy now with us, she's only missing one thing... YOU. Do yourself a favor and adopt this loving family member today by applying at www.paws4you.org/application.
