~ The copycat queen ~
During my first months doing drag I tried to make a new look every week to practice my makeup, it was hard to come out with new ideas every week so I used to copy looks from other artists and try them on my face.
I see many other drags trying to find a face that they can claim as theirs so they can be remembered easily among other queens, but I don't really like that, I think that when you settle with one look you become a simpler character, sure, easier to understand and more memorable.
But I rather cause confusion than boredom.
Remember all those individual hair sets on woodern dowling, I was doing over the summer-
Well this is an insight into the finished headdress- Yes thats real hair!
My first rehearsal yesterday of The Duchess in #rohalice at @royaloperahouse with the amazing @balletboy09.
This headdress is made up on a team of makers - Murielle and Myself - picking up the work, where the we left due to holidays and tours!
Team work, makes the dreams work!
