Practice and all is coming - even late at night when your bones ache and brain is fried. But really any stretch is beneficial at any time- even in your PJs #detoxthroughyoga Day 6 #eaglepose#balance also my day 18 of #365daysofyoga

Day 10 of #TrustYourJourney and today’s theme is, trust your focus and our challenge pose is #eaglepose . I do lose my balance a lot in standing poses but it’s very hard for me to find complete calm with my home practice. I remember taking classes in the studio and how much easier I could relax my brain, but too many distractions at home! 😅 .
Today my class @balanceyogatx tackled the most ridiculous eagle-leg variation of side crow. We knew it was a reach, I’d never even done it myself. We committed to playtime, then boom. Lots of folks nailed it. Self included. (Most of the time it looked like photos 2&3: equally fun!)
There is no goal. The goal is the practice. You’ll never be done with side crow anyway, so have fun trying. Go ahead, fall on yo face. It’ll make you a better person.

Today I am grateful for the life vision conversation we had today with our teacher at the Ashram
Day 6 #detoxthroughyoga#yogachallenge is #eaglepose and I went for the eagle-fish variation ♥️ because it’s been a while since I don’t do it and I think it looks beautiful! 😜
Not only because of that though! 😂 It’s a gentle hip, chest and shoulder blades opener which I LOVE! 🌸Lovely hosts and sponsor: @alexzandrapeters @pigeatsfish @yoga_mami @_monette @shiziks @aloyoga
Do you have a life vision?
I will start from today to create my own “vision board” so that I can visualize everyday what I am working towards.
It’s not like a final goal that I would get depressed if I don’t reach, but more as a navigation system that will make me go in the direction I want. Either you reach it or not, you will be going the right way.
Have a lovely evening my friends 🙏🏼
Day Four: Garudasana - Eagle pose 🌱🌱🌱🧘♀️🧘♀️🧘♀️🧘♀️
Bend the right knee, bring the left leg over the right thigh above the right knee and rest the back of the left thigh on the front of the right thigh
Move the left foot behind the right calf so the shin touches the right calf and the left big toe hooks just above the inner side of the right ankle. The left leg is now entwined around the right leg. (if this is uncomfortable you can just keep your top leg bent over the bottom leg and not wrap your foot behind your leg, I prefer this actually!! My yoga teacher showed us this variation)
Bend the elbows and raise your arms to chest level. Rest the right elbow on the front of the left upper arm near the elbow joint. Move the right hand back to the right and the left hand back to the left and join the palms. Stay here for 15-20 seconds with deep breathing. Repeat on the other side! 😍🙏🙏🙏🙏
This asana posture helps strengthen the ankles and remove stiffness in the shoulders. These instructions are from the book: Light on Yoga ❤️
Day 6 of #detoxthroughyoga is #eaglepose
When a storm is coming all other birds seek shelter. The eagle alone, avoids the storm by flying above it. So in the storms of life soar like an eagle.

Happy Thriving Thursday Friends 🙌❤️ - I’m throwing thriving in there because I’m actually super exhausted this morning. All the animals decided to get in bed with us about 10 different times last night. So I feel like I got 0 sleep. So thriving is a word I need today 😂🙌 This morning is day of #detoxtheoughyoga#eaglepose
Wearing my favorite, @aloyoga ☺️
