Last night, I saw a sad cucumber half sitting in my fridge and decided to save it with a quick pickle it in salt, sugar, rice wine vinegar, chili flakes + sesame seeds. Today, it ended up on my avocado toast and it was DELICIOUS (swipe for a closer look)!❤️❤️❤️💯💯⚡️💫

Bok choy is the perfect side dish. 🌿👌🏻. Eating it daily since living Asia - always with different toppings. Water sauté garlic, then turn the heat up high and add the bok choy and stir quickly (with chopsticks works best), until slightly wilted but still green and fresh 🥢🥣. Mix some lime juice and syrup and drizzle over top. Sprinkle sesame seeds. Mmmm hmmm.

To make your mid-week dinner look a bit fancy include grilled stonefruit. Cut peaches or nectarines in half, pit them, brush with a local EVOO (or other oil you prefer) and pop on the bbq. Cook until tender. They are also great under a grill if you are not cranking up the barby, though we think those chargrill marks look superb. We topped ours with finely chopped mint. This is a perfect with a savoury dish, sliced and add to a salad or sprinkled with cinnamon or cardamon for dessert with Tasmanian yoghurt. The grilling intensifies the flavours of the fruit and the juiciness. Put on an extra one, they will be scoffed. What a delicious way to eat the season and getfruity. Happy hump day.
Good news friends! Gator's Rustic Burger will be opening again TOMORROW Wednesday, January 16th! Our January hours will be Wednesday - Friday 4pm-7pm (or until we run out of supplies). We'll be parked at 501 Lakeville Hwy in Petaluma. Look for the truck in the parking lot.
