You wouldn't believe the amount of difficulty I had taking a photo of this meal. The light just glared off the goats cheese in every spot I tried. 
But photography issues aside, this meal was simple and delicious.

I marinated the chicken on Sunday night so it had 48 hours to soak up the flavours. It's a mixture of thigh and breast meat in a delicious citrusy, garlicky, herby marinade and I will be putting the recipe up on ze blog in the near future. 
I steamed a tonne of broccoli because truth be told, that and red capsicum is literally the only veges in my fridge because this slacker didn't go to the markets in the weekend. Finished the broccoli off in the same pan as the chicken and then popped a dollop of my fave @thedrunkennanny lemony lush goat cheese on top. And that was dinner

“Marinading” some kale and cauliflower rice in lemon juice, salt and olive oil. Will add just cooked browned rice to this, a trick I have learned from @antonytodd. This will “cook” the raw veggies just enough so that they are still crunchy and fresh. Rice salad taken to another level!

Die größte Mahlzeit des Tages ist bei mir an Sporttagen immer das Abendessen. Soll ja gut sein nach dem Training vernünftig zu essen. Wobei ich heute beim Training auch ein bisschen gemerkt hatte  dass mir die Kohlenhydrate fehlen.

Auch wenn ich das Paleo Müsli zum Beispiel total gerne esse, es macht mich leider Null satt. Spätestens nach 1-2 Stunden meldet sich der Hunger. Fette machen mich einfach nicht satt. Aber zum Glück darf und muss das ja auch jeder für sich heraus finden. 
Zum Abendessen gab es heute Reis mit einer Hackfleisch-Gemüsepfanne. 
Einfach eine Zwiebel dünsten, Hackfleisch krümelig anbraten (140g), Karotten und Zucchini dazu. Dann gut würzen und mit etwas Flüssigkeit (z.B. Brühe und Sahne) köcheln lassen bis das Gemüse gar ist. Ich habe, neben Salz und Pfeffer, das Bruschetta Gewürz von Justspices genommen. Kann man ja schließlich auch anderweitig nutzen 😊
Ich darf mich jetzt noch in die Küche stellen und einen großen Topf Chili kochen. Morgen Mittag wollen die Kolleginnen was auf dem Teller haben 😁

Si bien vivimos en una sociedad donde sacarle la vuelta al azúcar esta de moda, buscamos productos sugar free, siempre en todo.
Primero que nada hay que saber que el azúcar es la principal fuente de energía en nuestro cerebro ( Cosa que la hace indispensable para el buen funcionamiento )  esta se acumula en nuestro cuerpo ya sea nuestro hígado o musculo, donde obviamente existe un límite y una vez que este se sobrepase se comienza a almacenar como GRASA.
¿Entonces cuál es la razón para bajarle?
-	Pues muy fácil, actualmente nos encontramos invadidos por azúcar, es increíble cómo hasta una salsa enlatada contiene azúcar, cosa que cada vez nos está volviendo más y más adictos a ella. -	Estamos sobrepasando los límites que nuestro cuerpo necesita y estamos eligiendo azucares refinados en lugar de escoger “azucares buenos” como frutas, cereales, etc.

Entre los efectos negativos del azúcar  podemos encontrar:
-Inhibe el sistema inmunológico y debilitar las defensas .
-Produce envejecimiento prematuro.
-Debilita la vista.
- Produce  hiperactividad, ansiedad, dificultad para concentrarse e irritabilidad en niños. - Contribuye a la obesidad.

Entre muchisisimos efectos negativos más.
Te invito a bajarle poco a poco y veras notablemente la diferencia.

Si bien vivimos en una sociedad donde sacarle la vuelta al azúcar esta de moda, buscamos productos sugar free, siempre en todo. Primero que nada hay que saber que el azúcar es la principal fuente de energía en nuestro cerebro ( Cosa que la hace indispensable para el buen funcionamiento ) esta se acumula en nuestro cuerpo ya sea nuestro hígado o musculo, donde obviamente existe un límite y una vez que este se sobrepase se comienza a almacenar como GRASA. ¿Entonces cuál es la razón para bajarle? - Pues muy fácil, actualmente nos encontramos invadidos por azúcar, es increíble cómo hasta una salsa enlatada contiene azúcar, cosa que cada vez nos está volviendo más y más adictos a ella. - Estamos sobrepasando los límites que nuestro cuerpo necesita y estamos eligiendo azucares refinados en lugar de escoger “azucares buenos” como frutas, cereales, etc. Entre los efectos negativos del azúcar podemos encontrar: -Inhibe el sistema inmunológico y debilitar las defensas . -Produce envejecimiento prematuro. -Debilita la vista. - Produce hiperactividad, ansiedad, dificultad para concentrarse e irritabilidad en niños. - Contribuye a la obesidad. Ab und an muss es mal sowas sein. Und das gleiche will ich auch mit den Gedanken machen 😂🤔 WAS?! Du bist was du isst - so sagt man doch (ich bin ein wenig scharf, aber nicht zu sehr, damit man alles Andere auch noch wahrnimmt - aber manchmal rettet nur "scharf" 😂). Wer sagt das eigentlich. War das mal eine Werbeformulierung?! Jedenfalls finde ich haben Marketingmenschen oft eine bewundernswerte Gabe, den Alltag auf witzige Weise überspitzt darzustellen. Also - es wird sehr genau beobachtet und reflektiert! Es gibt ja auch "gute" Werbung 🤗 Vermutlich geht die Aussage aber viel weiter zurück, denn da ist einfach sehr viel Wahrheit drin und diese verblüffend einfachen Aussagen stammen meist nicht aus der Gegenwart 😂🤔 Also, machts euch auch in der Gegenwart öfter mal leichter und bereitet euch einen Rohkostsalat zu. Von wegen schwer verdaulich. Das sind wir nur nicht mehr gewohnt 🙄 In jeder Hinsicht. Paar Kichererbsen rein und süße Cranberries. Absolut flexible Schüssel, denkbar in low oder high carb, vegan, vegetarisch, pescetarisch, glutenfrei,.... blablabla. Für jeden was dabei 😂 So vielseitig wie wir alle meinen zu sein 😉 Und scharf geht auch. Habts fein heut Alle!

Dates - I've never really liked to eat dates just like this, I sometimes use dates instead of maplesyrup in a cake. But  as my intention is not to eat sugar and I crave some sweets in the evening, I started to eat on or two of them. What puzzled me yesterday evening was: I 've had already enough after half of it - so sweet. Then I thought about what would have happened if I had a box of chocolate cookies standing in front of me. Well at least half of the package would have landed in my stomach. Soo, I guess I still like chocolate cookies better than a date, but my craving was satisfied and I felt much better than I would have had with the cookies. 
Dates are great for digestion and rich in iron, potassium, vitamin B and C. So much good stuff you won't find in chocolate cookies. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Eigentlich mag ich Datteln einfach so nicht - im Kuchen anstatt Ahornsirip sind sie super, aber ansonsten habe ich nie welche gegessen. Da ich jetzt ja aber keinen Zucker, also auch keine  Schokokekse mehr esse , und trotzdem jeden 2. Tag abends etwas Süßes möchte, bin ich auf Datteln (ein bis zwei Stück) umgestiegen. Gestern war ich tatsächlich nach einer halben Dattel fertig - sie sind echt sehr süß. Aber wenn ich eine Packung Schokokekse gehabt hätte, wäre die halbe Schachtel in meinem Magen gelandet. Ich schätze ich mag Schokokekse immer noch lieber als Datteln, aber so war mein Hunger auf Süßes gestillt und ich habe mich deutlich besser gefühlt, als mit 10 Keksen.

Außerdem sind Datteln gut für die Verdauung und enthalten Eisen, Kalium, Vitamin B und C. Also lauter gute Sachen, was man von Schokokeksen nicht gerade behaupten kann.

Today my body was craving some VIBRANCE! After JiuJitsu I was feeling a bit run down and my body started to crave rich fruits and dark greens.

I wanted to fight my bodies cravings by telling it to eat the norm. Heavy beans, sweet potato, noodles, veggies, tempeh. But it did NOT want that. It wanted a nice raw salad with no dressing, nothing fancy, just healing fruits and greens.
•
Our body is always trying to communicate with us. Telling us what it likes, and what it doesn't. It tries to tell us what it needs, what makes us sick, what makes us thrive, what makes is low, high, stressed, and at peace. But so frequently we fight it, and there is the challenge. To slow down, and listen to what our body is asking for.

What's in the salad? 3c baby spinach, raw purple carrots, pomegranate seeds, kiwi, watermelon, and fresh mint! No need for any dressing, the juice from the fruits is an incredible burst of flavor!

Heute habe ich es leider nicht auf den Wochenmarkt geschafft - hier seht ihr meine Ausbeute von Samstag. Daraus habe ich am Sonntag eine Pilz-Kartoffel-Spinat Pfanne gezaubert und heute gab es den Feldsalat mit den restlichen Kartoffeln und Pilzen. Da ich es mir momentan zeitlich leisten kann, mehrmals die Woche einkaufen zu gehen, kaufe ich nur für 2-3 Tage ein.😊

KITCHEN HACK: I much prefer to buy fresh spinach than frozen. However there is nothing more boring than chopping them up. So I put them in a bag, freeze them, and once frozen crush the bag in my hands to break all the leaves in small pieces. It’s cold out, I’m sick (at least one kiddo is sick, so far) and this looks messy but it’s so good and filling. Taking it back to #ketobasics. 
Fried eggs and sautéed Kale in #kerrygold with hmp salt and garlic powder, 1/2 avocado, grated #dubliner cheese, and #cholula. So very thankful I baked my butt off on Saturday night so I could easily toast up a #ketobiscuit to go with this on a crap day like this. 
Alabama is basically cancelled since it doesn’t know what to do when it snows 😂 so other than a trip to Urgent Care Soon, we’re stuck inside. 👍🏻🙄 And for SAHM parents, that’s like putting in a round-the-clock shift.

Preheat the oven to 375 F. Toss cooked chickpeas with a bit of avocado oil, paprika, cumin, coriander, garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper. Arrange on a single layer on a lined baking sheet and bake for around 20 minutes until chickpeas are golden brown and crispy.

Arroz integral con cúrcuma, verduras y algas 🌱🥕 ingrediente: 1 taza de arroz integral, 1 cebolla, 1 diente de ajo, 1 calabacín, 4 zanahorias, brócoli, sal, pimienta, aceite de oliva virgen, alga nori  y 1 cucharada de curcuma 🌱 modo de hacerlo: hervir el arroz 45 minutos y reservar. Sofreír la cebolla y el ajo junto con la cúrcuma, sal y pimienta por 5 minutos. Añadir el resto de las verduras sofreír un par de minutos todo junto, después añadir 1/2 taza de agua y tapar. Dejar hervir a fuego medio/bajo 5  minutos. Mezclar las verduras y el arroz. Añadir las algas encima cuando lo hayas servido. Ice/Snow Day! 
I make fun, but for Austin, TX, its a big deal. We are just not equipped to deal with it from the city or resident side. But moving here from the mountains of Colorado, I have to make a little fun. In the 18 years I lived in the mountains, snow/weather days were rare.
Since our regularly scheduled Tuesday was completely cancelled. I’m filling up the dehydrator with a variety of fresh, organic leafy greens. This round is Swiss chard, spinach, lightly steamed kale and red cabbage. We eat lots of greens, I still try to sneak more in in other places and I really like the earthly flavor it gives to certain dishes. 
I sneak it into burger patties, meatballs, sprinkle on shrimp scampi, add to spice blends, the rare smoothie, you name it!!

70g Hefeflocken 
1,5 EL Knoblauchpulver
1,5 EL Zwiebelpulver
1/2 EL Meersalz
1/2 EL scharfes Senfpulver
1 TL Paprikapulver, edelsüß
1/4 TL Kurkuma
1/4 TL Pfeffer
1/8 TL Cayenne Pfeffer
1/8 TL Kreuzkümmel

Alles in einem Mixer fein zerkleinern und am besten direkt löffeln, wie ich es gemacht habe. 🙈😅 Oder ihr seid vernünftiger und füllt es in Einmachgläser ab. Dann ist es nicht direkt in einem Atemzug aufgefuttert, sondern hält sich ca. 4-6 Wochen im Kühlschrank. Einfrieren könnt ihr den veganen Parmesan aber auch. 😉Wer probiert es mal aus und berichtet mir dann vom Ergebnis? Ich bin so neugierig, wie ihr es findet. 😜
