It has been shown to have many benefits. - Rich in vitamin K and C, folic acid, iron, calcium and protein
- Helps to increase red blood cell production and oxygen utilisation and enhances energy levels.
- Has anti-cancerous and immune-boosting properties as it contains high levels of vitamins A, C and E.
- Helps cleanse the body of toxins and impurities. - Has the ability to bind to and remove toxic heavy metals, such as mercury, from the body.
- Acts as a deodoriser in the body, helping to eliminate mouth and throat odours, and promotes a healthy digestive tract! xo
Yayyyyayy for Friday. 🎈And yay for setting electronics aside for an evening. Big plans? I am eating away from home. 😳 At an actual restaurant. Been a bit since such an exciting event has occurred.
The phenomenal chutney I’ve been pouring on everything lately is now posted on the blog (link in profile). I hope you’ll make it for your 🦃 day spread. Just don’t make it tonight. 🙅🏼♀️ Enjoy your evening, happy Friday guys!
#flashbackfridays Food Edition..Have you tried ice cream rolls?! My oldest and I had a mini date to try these out. They’re strange, but they don’t disappoint! The purple was mine, taro root ice cream(tastes like vanilla wafers!!!🤯) w/ light Oreos of course😉
So funny I hear people tell me they think I WONT let my kids have junk.. I do, but it’s called a TREAT for a reason. Raise them with a healthy relationship with food as children, they’re more likely to maintain that as adults and bypass the issues a lot of us face today👌🏽

Over the past few years I’ve noticed a huge shift in my eating habits - mainly that they’ve become way more seasonal! Light, water-filled fresh fruits and veggies in the summer and warmer, soothing root veggies in the fall and winter! • • •
In addition to that, eating mostly plant based for over a month now has me feeling amazing! My energy levels have shot through the roof (allowing for 5 am workouts and a full 10 hour work day with a group of 2-5 year olds), my hormonal acne is almost completely gone (yep, 32 and still battling it), and my gut is happy again! No more daily bloating and energy crashes... • • •
Take a look at your eating habits and decide if they need a change - if they do, get in touch for some healthy habits to get you started! 💪🏻
I'll tell you what folks! Moving is 😩😩 BUT! I can't wait to get cooking and baking again in my new kitchen. November is pumpkin month, right? 😊 for that reason, check out this delicious recipe by @goodiegoodielunchbox
The scent of these delicious dairy-free Pumpkin and Coconut Muffins is all kinds of amazing...but I’ll just say it here...they taste even better.
This recipe is inspired by friend Noelle from @motherhoodandmeals and when I saw she had paired pumpkin and coconut I new I had to try my own muffin recipe using this combo (thanks Noelle x). And here it is!
PUMPKIN & COCONUT MUFFINS
1 packed cup of roasted mashed pumpkin
1 cup of coconut cream
1/2 cup of coconut or olive oil
1/4 cup of maple syrup
1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
2 cups of self raising flour
1/3 cup of desiccated coconut
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Pepita seeds to top (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 180c and grease your muffin tin
2. In a large bowl whisk together to combine the pumpkin and wet ingredients together. If you’re using coconut oil ensure the ingredients are at room temperature
3. When the mixture is combined slowly add the dry ingredients until just mixed through. Do not overmix
4. Spoon into your prepared muffin tin, top with pepita seeds and bake the muffins for around 15 minutes until they are lightly golden on top and a skewer inserted into the centre of the muffin comes out clean
5. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes before cooking further on a baking rack
• R A I N Y D A Y S • Call for rainbow salads. Big bowl of deliciousness from @solbotanica to brighten up the day after getting stuck in a torrential downpour on my morning walk😂. What’s your fav way to spend a rainy day?
On work days I eat dinner at the salon. Zucchini noodles are one of my favorite ways to freshen up leftovers. I cut them using the smallest end of my spiralizer and pack them in a Mason jar with whatever else is on hand (today it was applewood smoked ham, caramelized leeks and Meyer lemon garlic rice). I heat it all together in the microwave and as soon as the meat is hot, the noodles are cooked. Hearty, filling and - most importantly - fast and easy. 🍋
TFW you find the produce section of your dreams! 😍🙌🤩 My absolute favorite place to buy produce in Bellingham is @terraorganicfood 🥕🥦🍅🥒🥑🌽 ALL organic and mostly local makes shopping for fruits and veggies such a breeze! Plus 20% off on Sundays gives you the perfect opportunity to plan ahead for the week 😉 Even if I can’t make it in on a Sunday, I still prefer to buy my produce here, I always notice a huge difference in quality and taste when I buy produce anywhere else. How about you? Do you notice a difference in the produce that you buy from different stores? Do you stick to buying your fruits and veggies from a certain place?🤷♀️🥕🥦🥒🥑🌻✨
Not all meals are works of art. Some just get the job done. Arugula, tuna, olive oil, olives, pumpkins seeds. Filling and low carb for a later dinner than anticipated. #keto#lowcarb#jerf#balance#eatyourgreens

Do you ever pay attention to how food makes you feel?
I used to never notice. I just ate what sounded good.
I didn’t realize before how eating the right things can make you feel. It’s crazy! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some pizza and wine sometimes, but on an average day, I want to feel amazing!
What we eat should be working FOR us, not against us.
Chicken and black bean enchiladas on corn shells and a side of zucchini. Still amazing, still keeps me feeling good!
Eating healthy does not have to suck. 😄
I’ve never cooked an entire thanksgiving dinner (and don’t plan on it anytime soon 😬) but if I did it would look just like this. Here are seven quick and easy plant-based thanksgiving inspired dishes (I cooked everything in and hour and 1/2) that are pretty damn delicious to add to any dinner. Whether you’re a full on Veg or not, I promise these will not disappoint. Link in bio for recipes. -
