Part 1 of 3 I Photo series I Forest Defenders by @christopher_lamarca is a series of painstakingly beautiful, devastating, heartbreaking, yet inspiring photographs of anti-logging activists willing to do anything in order to stop deforestation in old growth forests in Oregon.
I visited the National Geographic Photo Ark by @joelsartore last week at @melbourne_zoo, and I was so overwhelmed by the beautiful portraits of so many threatened, endangered and extinct species. Seeing such an incredible collection of photographs of such precious animals, makes me even more motivated to do my part for this planet. A number of quotes were painted around the exhibition and this one stood out to me the most. So here's to all the game changers, the do-gooders and the people that care! 🌿🌏💡💙♻️✨
🌍🐳🐠🐋 Planning on visiting an aquarium this summer?
You might run into our global awareness raising action “World Aquariums Against Marine Litter” and come out with a very vivid idea of how serious the marine litter issue is and what each of us can do about it.
Every year millions of tons of litter end up in the ocean. It is estimated that by 2050 our seas could contain more plastic than fish. We need to act together on the preservation of our oceans.
This action was launched yesterday by Commissioner Karmenu Vella at @oceanomonaco
*iBebot News* A 2016 report from Royal College of Physicians pointed out that around 40,000 people died each year due to outdoor air pollution. The figure for indoor air pollution? Worse.⠀
Know what you are breathing matters.⠀
