As you sit and reflect about your life - don't forget there are things that happen that no one can predict or see coming. That's just life and it's all part of your journey. We're not meant to know everything. Otherwise what is the point? Enjoy the good bits and learn from the challenges 🔮#soul33#reality#expectations#reiki
Rationality is bounded. By taboos. Borders. Inhibitions. By shame. By careless wishpers.
Rationality taught us how to ostracise, but didn't breath a word about acceptance. It taught us about our limits, about our ability to hate and to think of unconditional love as a mistake...rationality, bounded, poisoned, laughing at my errors yet glorifying your's. And the rest's.
But darling, your mistakes are your own. Just as i, solely,have the custody of mine. To accept. Not repent. To be irrationally comfortable with them. 'Cause darling, that rationality of your's, it's pretty overrated.
(Economics really fucks with your mind...not brain!)
The expectation thing is a tough one. I’ve had a love:hate relationship with that philosophy for the last ten years. I’ve explored it from every angle. Screamed at it. Embraced it. Walked out on it and come crawling back to it. But I’ve made peace with it now. Finally understood it. I don’t grasp at it anymore. I don’t force it. It’s like anything else good in your life. (Or bad for that matter). You are going to handle it better if you learn to accept it first. (Because we know from experience even things you want to change or move beyond, you have to accept first). I guess I was expecting too much from the whole thing 😜. The truth is that it’s just another part of the “hold it lightly” or Wei wu Wei philosophy. (Blog post brewing on how that works in a business context too). There’s a gentle fierceness to the whole thing. An effortless action. It is a practiced person who can care deeply but allow things to come and go. Someone who has arrived at caring without caring.
i don't expect you
neither do you;
and i understand
that i shouldn't
expect too much-
for in hope i expected,
but all i got was
and although expected-
we are all just human,
and we love to hurt.
