I am aching from the leg and booty workout yesterday literally as the day has gone on the ache has got worse but i like it in a strange way you know you have worked those muscles. Busy one again in work and we are giving out free sweets at the mo as halloween is around the corner why is this happening when i just get back on track 😂😂 Collected my girlies from school and they were eager to tell me they had got a nice story book each from the head teacher for reading 100 books each since starting back at school in sept. They are so good at school and reading to me every night. Proud mumma. Decided to let jillian kick my butt tonight doing workouts 3 and 4 atm. As i was sorting dinner i caught  @thebodycoach live saying he had gone off the rails a bit since being in the usa eating rubbish and not working out and it was normal it happens to everyone but to get back on it ect def check it out if you need motivation. It was good to hear very relatable and nice to know im not the only one going through this.

For that reason, going to a gym and doing random exercises doesn’t make sense. A squat and leg press both work the quads, but the results of each are very different.

I don’t expect you to have all this knowledge about every exercise. That’s why you need someone to put a plan together for you, made with insight to why each exercise is being performed, including the sets, reps, and form.

Here’s the deal y’all, time is money and you literally can’t get it back once its gone. With that being said, I’m willing to bet that there are parts of your workout that could be more efficient. Efficiency is where its at for me when it comes to hitting the gym — I mean yeah, I love it, but not enough to be there all dang day. You know? Let me show you some ways you can improve your workouts and cut your lift times down or get more work into your current time.

Supersets- pairing two exercises back to back with minimal rest in between exercises

Tri-Sets- 3 exercises performed back to back to back with minimal rest in between exercises

Giant Sets- 4+ exercises performed in order with minimal rest between exercises

There are SO many ways you can utilize the above methods. They can be using the same muscle groups, opposing muscle groups, upper/lower, core and mobility — anything. Performing more than one exercises in a row with minimal rest cuts that rest time in half compared to if you did an exercise alone (and more than that the more exercises you perform).

Mobility During Rest Periods- to me this is so underused and highly underrated. Being active during rest can not only be a better utilization of time but it can help develop better range of motion which is then enforced when you load it with weight. :)

Use a Rest Timer- I’m guilty of this you’re *(probably* guilty of this — we tell ourselves we are going to rest for say 30seconds… well, those 30seconds turn into minutes. Its just way to easy to overestimate working time and take WAY too much rest. Take the guesswork out of it to get cut down on time, be more efficient and probably see better resutls!

Breaking my 5 day fast because I worked out SUPER hard earlier and I’m definitely ready to refuel.

I ate a pickle first to “test the waters” and get my stomach to “wake up” after some time off 😉 but now I’m totally ready to smash this scrambled bowl of heaven.

I shared this grocery haul in my story the other day, but here's a pic in case you missed it! My goal is to only shop once per week and keep spending to a minimum. This trip totaled $35.

I already had meat in the freezer from previous week's sales, produce from last week and other staples such as oats, rice and pasta so I didn't need much. I try to get generic brand when possible, but if it's something that I'll definitely notice a difference with quality (such as popcorn) I'll go for the cheapest brand that is decent quality. I also got the bigger container of eggs and cottage cheese since they were cheaper per pound. The baby carrots and tuna weren't on sale, but I got them because I will be away this weekend and needed convenient snacks.

P.S.-if you are looking for a cheap vegetable, cabbage was 2 pounds for $.99. It's a huge head of cabbage and will last a long time. I'll be having it in salads and stir fries. 😋

Day 25 C7 - Upper body gym day. Done loads of steps - long dog walk and a walk around the shops to add to the calorie burn. Upped my weights for some moves so pleased.
Breakfast was a protein shake @ufitdrinks with a mousse me up. Lunch was turkey salad and fried egg cloudbread sandwiches. Tea was a chicken and pesto pizza with a bit of extra cheese. Snack of a protein bar pre-workout. And some red wine later 👍🏻

Now that I have my hubby back, I’m going to continue to get me back.  I joined 3 @dietbet s.  I gained a tad bit back since my last one.  It is amazing how fast we can gain weight if we are not careful.  I let myself go for so long that my body is used to following suit when I’m not being mindful.  It was happening for so long that it will take that much more time to train my body to know what is best for it.  #iamworthit so I have all the time in the world!

I have always dreaded the blood pressure cuff! Everytime I have my blood pressure checked they always have to LEAVE THE ROOM to go get the really big one 😔 it was embarrassing! Went to the Dr the other day for a lady check up and the nurse didn't have to leave and get the other cuff! Small victory but I was excited! 
I still have more to loose in my arms, and they are quite flabby righy now lol (I would probably totally have loose skin arm surgery if I can ever afford it after I'm at my goal weight...y'all, they look bad already! Maybe someday I'll share a pic) .

Is it best to workout first thing in the morning, on your lunch break, or later in the evening?

💡The answer: there is no universally correct time to train.

The two things that determine the best time to workout are:
🔹 when you have the most energy
🔹 when you can be the most consistent

What matters more than what time you go to the gym, is when you can make it most consistently. I always recommend my clients pick a time to workout and try not to deviate too much from it if possible. ⏰

The more consistent you can be with "your time", the less likely you are to come up with excuses and let other responsibilities come in the way.

The longer you stay consistent with your workouts, the more automatic it will become. Sort of like brushing your teeth — you don't really think about this habit, yet you still do it at the same time each day, and it doesn't require much of your energy.

✔️TIP: If you're struggling to stay consistent with your workouts, pick a time that you'll go each day and schedule it on your calendar. Think of it as an important meeting and the less you skip these meetings, the easier & more routine it will become.
