#fuerzamexico
Anxiety can hit like a freight train sometimes. I can feel it spread throughout my mind and body, taking me captive and rendering me useless. It's then ultimately up to me where I turn to in this moment. I can give in to the stressors and worries and let it take me under or I can surrender my anxiety to the God who created this universe, who is bigger than anything I might be going through. The peace that comes from knowing that God has me in his arms is the only kind of peace that can truly get me through the storms of anxiety 🌊🙏🏻

We weren't even supposed to do this hike since it was going to throw our schedule off, but convinced ourselves that the 2.5 mile hike in wouldn't be that bad (especially after waiting in line for an hour and half just to get on a shuttle to get to Devils Postpile). It was crowded, hot, smokey, with thunderstorms rolling in, but we did it and it was definitely worth it! Plus postponing our drive to find camp lead us through one of the most beautiful sunsets, a rainbow, driving in pitch black with lightning strikes illuminating the sky, and eating dehydrated Mac and cheese out of a bag in the car as it started poring outside. This is my favorite kind of adventure. Ready for the next one!
