I'm not one to sing my own praises but these softies are amazing sensory toys! I started off making ROCK-er's because they are super cute and quirky.
I have seen first hand how these creations calm little souls. I had a friend over and her little guy was losing his s#$t. NOTHING was working. His mumma asked if I had one of my bears he could use (she forgot to bring his from home). I grabbed one of my daughter's, gave it to him and silence! I nearly weed my pants I was so happy and excited that something I (ME) created could make such a little soul feel calm. I have heard this so many times throughout my Charli and Millicent's journey. This is what keeps me going.
To the little kiddos who want to take them everywhere, to the unwell babes in hospital with their pals, to the elderly ladies who smile because of the weird and quirky creatures, to the families who have ROCK-er's that look like their pets or past pets, to the people who use them as cushions on their bed, to the babes that aren't even earth side yet who own a ROCK- er and to ALL of my customers past and present THANK YOU I love what I do and definitely don't want to stop . So keep those precious orders coming through and I will make you something truly special!!!
Still need to add text to the print, but @savannah3dawn made this piece really pop with her touch-up skills. Sure glad she didn't let me trash it. Getting ready for our first Craft Show!
A few days ago Nova wore this big purple bow.... in the same day she tore it up.. pulled it completely apart well tonight she brought it to me... I held in my hand thinking of a way to fix it I've made a few bows in the last week dor her birthday and felt crafty.... I took another piece of ribbon she tore apart and threw this cute Halloween bow together. I think I may start making them and selling them? What you think? #feelingcrafty

Feeling a bit arts n craftsy tonight. I don't know why. Maybe it was the happiness meditation I did earlier. Maybe its because its a long weekend for Saudi National Day. Anyway, I decided we needed an onion bag so I chopped up an old T-shirt and made one. It was definitely a spur of the moment idea. I was quite impressed with myself. It's been a good thirty years since I last did macrame. Was easy peasy doing it again. A little rough on the finishing but its for my onions..so she'll be right. #crafts#feelingcrafty#reuse#recycle#macrame#stillgotit#expatlife#riyadh#saudiarabia#ksa#weekendbegins
I've recently taken up ~embroidering~ as a fun little way to do something creative. This piece entitled •technicolor daisies• is my newest one! 🌸
~~ I am hugely inspired by color palettes and the way certain hues play together. It's the most exciting thing to me. My all-time favorite color is mint green and my guilty pleasure is some good ol' mustard yellow! I almost always prefer a pastel palette but I love splashes of neon.
I'm hoping to make more like this with different color schemes and start selling them on Etsy so keep an eye out 👀and stay tuned for a blog post about some beginners tips for starting your own embroidery!
Tie dye for Halloween? Yup. Candy corn style. The kids loved their candy corn tie dye shirts and each picked out a different design for the front.
