So as many of you know, managing my weight has been a life long issue for me, and one that I struggled with being consistent about because of my lack of results. But after working with @fitnessgenes and @drdanreardon since May, it's been crazy to not only see my body transform physically but mentally as well. The photo on the left was me at the end of the video I did with BuzzFeed. The photo on the right is me 3 months later. Dan showed me this photo and I couldn't believe how far I had come because I'm so used to seeing myself in the mirror everyday, but I'm so proud of what I've been able to accomplish and I can't wait to share more of my fitness journey with y'all! I get a lot of messages from people about what am I eating/doing. So if you have ideas about what kind of stuff you want to know about my fitness routine just let me know in the comments and I'll think about the best ways to share the information!

WEIGHT NUMBER vs BODY FAT %
I posted my stats (weight and body fat%) on purpose, as I’ve been there myself and I know how a weight number can make a girl freak out. 😲😁
I came a long way from picture N1 to picture N3, but if you notice my current weight is almost the same as the one I started with. But take a look at BF% number, that's what makes all the difference. 💪
Now it's a completely different body composition. ⏳I’ve built up my upper body to balance it out with my lower. I came from 🍐 to ⏳. ___
So I just want to remind you that scales are your enemy, especially at the beginner stage of your transformation, as in most cases we're getting so obsessed with number of pounds that a little shift up can be very frustrating and discouraging or even may sabotage all the hard work you've already done.
WHY YOUR WEIGHT REMAINS THE SAME or MAY EVEN GO UP, when beginning your training and eating healthy?
Don’t panic! You simply start gaining muscles.
Even though you might keep the same weight number, your body will start changing.
Also give your body some time to readjust to your new regiment.
Few things I really want you to stay focused on: ✏ Your measurements (hips, waist, thigh, arm: track them every 2 weeks) 👗Clothes size (pay attention to how your old clothes fits you, you will start noticing it become loose) 👙 Skin Condition (you skin gonna get tighter and less cellulite) 💪Body Fat Percentage (if you are really obsessed with numbers 😁 track your BF%)

• Begin with lateral bands on, feet together, and toes pointed outwards at a 45 degree angle.
• Step out with the right foot into a sumo squat, keeping weight in heels and knees in line with toes.

I debated whether I should post this #transformationtuesday pic. Mostly because I DO NOT BELIEVE that size or weight determines the worth, Beauty, health or strength level of a person. I DO NOT BELIEVE that someone should base their worth or confidence or anything else on their size! For me, this post is about self reflection. In both, I see me, and I see a woman that was confident in herself then and now. Reflecting on the days where walking and playing with my son at the park was painful bc my knees, back, and hips hurt. I wasn’t strong enough to lift anything over 20 pounds. I had no energy to get out of bed or be productive at my job without 5 energy drinks a day! I didn’t workout, or try to do things to better my health. However, I was happy with how I looked, and embraced the size I was. I was just tired of being tired, and had no motivation to change myself. There are many women that are considered plus size that are very healthy, workout and eat well. They are gorgeous, hardworking and healthy. I was not one of them. I’m embracing the new me, the strength and endurance that’s coming along with my new shape. However, I miss my curves A LOT! As always, #loveyourself and don’t trip on the negative.
It better start snowing so this fluff has a purpose. ⛄

This would be my face from about 5 mins into my workout today until several mins after it was over. I literally said "she wants me to do WHAT?" In my head like 7 times throughout the 30 mins, and even though my arms literally feel like jello right now, I pushed through it.
Today was one of those days when you feel like your wheels are constantly spinning, yet nothing is actually happening, which might be one of the most frustrating feelings for any #teacher 🤷🏻♀️
And last school year, after a day like today I would sit on my couch and binge on Greys Anatomy. Instead, I gave myself time to unwind mentally and I got the damn thing done. How's that for a #transformationtuesday •

In the picture on the left, I was unhappy, an emotional eater, addicted to sugar and weighted down by my own excuses.
As a BUSY professional, I was OVEREATING because of stress and my clothes started not to fit.. even despite going to the gym frequently! I know how hard it is to lose weight, during my own weight loss battle, and how much harder it is to keep it off and stay motivated.
