When I first started my fitness journey, I really only stuck to cardio and circuit training. During my formal CPT studies I began deliberately incorporating many different styles of resistance training, as I loved to experiment with all the things I was learning about and figure out what I enjoyed. After completing my certification I continued writing all my own workouts through a blend of my favorite training styles to achieve my unique goals and really push myself! I fell in love with my own style of weight lifting during that time, which has been at the core of my training ever since and... maybe something you will like really, really soon too.....😉🏋🏻♀️👊🏼 www.kelseywells.com/app
✨Tips for your Fitness Journey✨
Consistency. You can’t expect to get results just by following your nutrition and exercises just one week, and then finding yourself eating whatever you want the following week. It doesn’t work that way.
You might have goals like loose fat, build muscle, or to maintain your current physique, but you need to get comfortable doing the work over and over again if you want to see results. It’s not like taking a magic pill and the next day, being super lean. .
Don’t lose track. Because you miss one day at the gym or you ate something when you went out, doesn’t mean that you can let that stop you from getting to your goals. You can get back on track the next day and continue to get where you want to be. .
Choose to eat food that you enjoy. Next time that you are at the supermarket, choose food rich in nutrients like protein, complex carbs and healthy fats. Fuel your body with food that will benefit your health and also will help you achieve your goals faster. If you don’t enjoy the food that you eat, chances are that you won’t stick with it for a long time. .
Small changes. I suggest you to start doing small changes everyday, instead of changing your lifestyle all at once. Instead of using the elevator, choose to take the stairs. If you don’t enjoy doing cardio at the gym, go for a walk in your neighborhood, etc. .
Make it a lifestyle. I know that many people will like to lose 10 pounds, 20 or 30 in a month, but if you make it a lifestyle, everything will be easier. Don’t restrict yourself for a few weeks, and then ended up eating even more after you “achieved” your desired weight.
✖️| THE PAIN YOU FEEL TODAY, WILL BE STRENGTH YOU FEEL TOMORROW. (OR A TATTOO)

"Don't judge a book by its cover". Probably the most philosophical quote you can get in the 21st century.
We are far from Aristotle's level , but at least it has some relevance 🤷🏼♀️ ⠀
⠀ ❗️How many times have we envy someone's else body ?
I honestly cannot count.
From wishing to have a leaner tummy, tighter waist, someone's else hair or nose, it is SO easy to fall in the trap of self-deprecating. ⠀
And so, we start obsessing about others.
We start staring at them, talking about them, judging them.
Honestly, I am not proud, but I have been that person.
Did it make me feel better about myself ?
It is not by judging others that you'll feel better.
What helped me, though, is starting by not judging myself.
The choice is yours friends 👀 ⠀
The Death of the Full-Time Job
Today's unemployment numbers are economically uninteresting - but socially
fascinating. They show the jobless numbers stabilising, as you'd expected, but the
really interesting stuff is hidden away in the details. They show what can only be
described as the death of the full-time job. Even as unemployment is stabilising, the
number of full-time jobs is still shrinking - and part-time jobs are very much on the
rise. And not because we want this new flexibility. The number of people saying that
they are working part-time because they couldn't find a full-time job is over 1 million –
an astonishing number. There’s also quite a jump in the numbers simply opting out of
the labour market, especially the young, who self-describe themselves as students.
“Student” may well be a convenient euphemism for “unemployed”, just as “resting”
often is for actors. Whether they will ever get to go on a course or get a job is a moot
This all has long-term consequences for the nation, and I suggest it means an even
more divided, unequal society. Those who have traditional full-time secure jobs with a
pension are increasingly a blessed minority - the rest of the nation is scrabbling away
trying to get work where and when they can, with not even paid holidays, let alone a
final pension scheme. That also, by the way, means that they will be able to build up
less capital over their lives, and banks and building societies will be unwilling or
unable under tougher rules to offer mortgage to the newly casualised British worker.
And the poorer you are, the worse the life chances of your children, so these new,
deeper inequalities will echo down the generations. The Britain that leaves this
recession will look very different from the one that entered it.
After a day full of shopping I came home and got right into my workout since Sweet Pea was sleeping!! We had a rough night last night and I was tired, so even despite my Energize today, I still had to take a couple quick breathers here and there during Pure Cardio 2 but I got through!! One of my passions is helping women to understand the uniqueness that is them, to love who they are and the body they have today; but also when change is desired, how to get the best from their body.
And I can hand on heart say, until you’ve had a baby and gone through that rollercoaster, you never really get what it’s all about and simply saying well just stop the excuses, get moving and eat less doesn’t cut it. I survived a poorly baby, post natal depression, anxiety, severe sleep deprivation, moving hundreds of miles from all my family and friends, hating what was in the mirror and having zero energy to train or even leave the house. I was not one of those fitpros that got ‘on it’ within 6 weeks, I get how tough it can be to ‘just do it’.
