Ok so I personally hate making food posts, like come on who really cares what I'm eating lol... so the only reason I'm posting is to hold myself accountable with getting on track with my healthy eating habits. This summer I've been nothing but terrible with what I've eaten. Holy Crud you guys I downloaded a new app aaptiv - it has a ton of workouts, stairs, treadmill, strength training, etc it plays music and you have a trainer at the same time. I did a 15 minute one on the stairs my legs are on fire and I was dripping sweat! I cant wait to try more.

Throw back to the last weight loss challenge gala dinner. Got a quick snap with the national winner! She is a gun....lost just over 17kgs in 9 weeks. Thankful to be in touch over fb to keep the motivation and inspiration alive for this weight loss challenge!
Folate + pregnancy get a good run in the nutrition pregnancy stakes but just as important is good old iodine. In Australia we generally don't get enough iodine as a population thanks to reduced iodine in our soil, manufactures not using iodised salt in commercial made food (except in bread) and an overall reduction in salt use. Most likely while your pregnant you will get your quota from pregnancy vitamins but before you get pregnant it's important to be getting enough as it's mega important to baby's development from day dot. Make sure you use iodised salt, you get enough seafood in your diet (remember to watch this though when pregnant and avoid the high mercury fish), consume a decent amount of bread, seaweed, eggs and dairy products. If you're not into dairy or eggs then stick to the salt, bread, seaweed and check soy milks to see if they include seaweed extract for a little extra boost. Do remember though if you have any thyroid issue, make sure you speak to your doctor before upping any iodine intake or taking any supplements!

After taking a long break from the IG world and starting down this new path, I started thinking my profile name was no longer appropriate. It didn't feel like "me" anymore and I wanted the name to relate to my new lifestyle. Introducing: SKYSNEWJOURNEY__
I've taken a new turn with my goals and for the next few months will be focusing on my health, pregnancy and happiness. Fitness is still a key piece to that, just in a different form. I am also stepping way outside of my comfort zone and will be documenting my journey in blog form.
