Hahaha holy sweat! I am so proud of myself bc there is a move that I have been trying to do for FOUR years. Donkey/mule kicks (and crow pose) is something that ALWAYS escaped me. I just couldn’t do it. Today? Omg today? I rocked them. Like with crazy air too! I can’t believe it. Please guys! I beg you. Never ever ever give up. You need to find the things that are hard and you need to take your ego out. Stop being like oh I’ll never ever ever be able to do it. Bc if you keep doing it, you WILL eventually get it. Try this little upper body/lower body combo to tone those muscles*
3 pulse squats
Jump to plank, 3 pulse tricep push ups
3 mountain climbers
Hands wide 1 push-up
Jump back to squat and stand
Try and do as many reps as possible as a finisher to your workout today 😊💪🏻😘
Tips on technique:
1️⃣ ensure butt is in line with the back of the knee on your squat
2️⃣ weight should be forward in your hands and back flat when performing the upper body moves
3️⃣ brace your core tight to restrict movement in the upper body during the mountain climbers

It’s been a long week and baby boy and I are ready for BED😴Coaching work is done for the night, kitties are fed, make up is washed off, pjs are on and so is some reality tv to fall asleep to. Hubby is working overnight this whole month which means I’m in bed most nights before 9 p.m. Anyone else grandma status like me? 😂See you all in the morning 💕

Those of you who have followed my journey will know I've been struggling in the open water. It all started with me wearing a brand new wetsuit in a triathlon and suffering an asthma attack due to the tightness of it. The next two triathlons had me suffering panic attacks in the water. Things weren't good at all. Last weekend was my chance to prove I could swim a decent distance in the water in a triathlon ...until the swim leg got cancelled due to poor water quality.
My husband found an open water swim that was happening today an hour from home. The distance was 1500 meters.
I came, I saw, I conquered. Wasn't pretty but I got the job done. It took me 34.30. Which I'm stoked with. I stopped a couple of times and did a bit of breast stroke just to regain my composure. I even encouraged a fellow swimmer who, 300 meters before the finish said she'd had enough and started swimming to the shore! She decided to finish.
I know I've still got work to do but today was a massive breakthrough for me.
Thanks to my most amazing and supportive husband. If it wasn't for the love of my life looking after our little boy, I wouldn't be following my dream. Thanks babe.
So my one year anniversary week at @womenshealthuk almost got the better of me. To say I’m exhausted is an understatement. I couldn’t do it without my brilliant deputy @spreadingthejoy and my amazing team. I’m going to sleep well tonight... I just need to put down this phone.
I’m sure everyone has seen this quote before but that doesn’t stop how true it is. You can write it on a goal list, make a vision board and tell everyone about it but unless you have an actual plan and have worked out how you will achieve it (and of course take action), it’s unlikely you will get there. If you still haven’t started working towards your 2018 goals, I encourage you to take some time out, make an action plan and start taking steps to achieve it.

Getting obsessed about killer legs today! And area that’s always been a tough one for me! Long torso, short legs (thanks Dad) but wow are these moves targeting all the right areas! I used 12.5 lbs weights, 15 reps each side, feel that booty WERK!

The beauty of transformation is that you can start wherever you are in this moment. I was that girl in college that struggled with binge eating disorder and would hide her insecurities with overeating and drinking. I was that girl that let people walk all over her in relationships and didn’t set boundaries. I lacked self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Boy, have times changed. Deciding one day to take control of my life and shedding 50+ pounds helped me gain so much more than the confidence that I LOOKED good. I started to act differently as well. I didn’t need alcohol to feel like I could have a conversation. I learned that I was ENOUGH just as I am. I started to get in touch with all my gifts that had been hiding behind physical and emotional baggage. I discovered that I was everything I needed to be and more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Starting my new journey into motherhood definitely makes me think how far I have really come. I want my son to look up to his mamma for being able to be myself in all my imperfections with confidence and grace. And if you’re reading this and you’re struggling right now to discover YOU, know that no matter where you are in your journey to finding your true self and shedding your physical and emotional layers, that anything is possible with belief and a lot of hard work💕
Day 5 - Today has flown by, so what did my day look like food wise. Kicked off with Chocolate Almond Oat Shake. One word, Delicious and totally filling, didn't even feel hungry at lunch time, but had my eggs, avocado and brown rice cake as I can't break once I start teaching. Dinner was Mexican Mince Passata. I had to make this work with my boys so I added some passata and extra herbs, thyme and basil was delicious , they had rice I had sweet potato, with spinach , curly kale and courgette fried in coconut oil, onion and garlic. Now to work out what to eat next week . Being prepared helps you stick to the plan and keep your fingers out of the cookie jar. Exciting 😋😋. I’m obsessed with skipping atm. It’s one of the best cardio and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workouts.
Jumping rope is known to burn around 1300 calories/hour.
a body weight exercise. It improves footwork, balance, coordination & agility. It is also one of the best exercises for endurance training & conditioning. Skipping gives a full-body workout. It is especially great for toning, developing the thighs, shins & calf muscles. Simultaneously, it also works on the abs & arms.
It engages & improves the hip-flexor muscles. I’ve incorporated it into my daily routine now & I’m hooked
Post workout shake looks a little different on this new meal plan but I like it. What is timed nutrition? It’s all about eating the right thing at the right time.
Post workout what should you be eating - nothing slow digesting. Fats and complex carbs will slow digestion and delay the process of refueling your muscles. So within 30 minutes I’m getting some protein mixed with fruit for that fuel (and a little molasses for iron). Then about an hour after I finish I will eat a portion planned meal 💪🏼 gain time
This girl was talking to us last night 💁🏼♀️ and all I could think about was “I wanna be just like her” #girlcrushin 💘 In fact, parts of her story are JUST like me. She struggled in this business for 1.5 years (hello me) but only because she was putting in half the work (me again) 🤦🏼♀️ and acted like “some day” things will change (sooooo me) — but Noooo!! ❌ We’ve got THIS ONE LIFE to live. There’s NO SECOND CHANCE ❎ So that very day she decided to start over 🌟 Counted that day as her day 1 in this business of helping people change their lives 🌈 And guess what... she changed EVERYTHING for herself.🙄 💫 Catapulted to #32 in the company, was able to quit her life-sucking job that she hated 😱 now works her butt off doing something she loves 💖 with a team of best friends 👭 helping people lose weight and get healthy 💚 works the hours that SHE wants to work #freelife and travels to see her nephew whenever she wants ✈️ I want a life like that 🙋🏼♀️ So today I’m counting THIS DAY as my day 1.
