As most of you know fitness has been a part of my life for a while now. But now that I’m getting married I’ve upped the workouts...a lot! Which leaves me with the need for a ton of dry shampoo! @batiste_hair is my go to in between washes!
Day NINE (18th Oct) of #UpendedAsanas 😱 How is it the end already! Everyone's post have been so beautiful so far!! For the last post we are asking you to get upside down with scorpion legs! 🦂 I have the forearmstand variation pictured here, however @livinleggings and @jbreton22 will have two other inversions for you to try 💛
1) Get your foundation aligned first! Aim to have your elbows under shoulders, not flaring out to the side. This base will not only activate your shoulder stability to help your balance easier, but line your shoulders up safely - no injuries here! Push through your forearms to root down, as your shoulders lengthen and draw away from your ears.
2) Scorpion legs can be intimidating, so move sloowwly! Focus on drawing your head toward your toes, rather than dumping your toes down to your head. It is also a lot of glutes and hamstring engagement, keep them switched on and in control of your legs. You should also use your hands and forearms to push down into the floor to help lift through your head and upper back.

Not everyone has access to a gym and that's okay. There are so many exercises you can do anywhere 👆 - as an example: push ups 💪. There are so many variations of this great exercise which trains your whole upper body. And it's perfect for holiday, too 😎
