🔸Standing Calf Raises (Calves) + followed with body weight standing calf raises to get an extra burn 🔸Glute kickbacks on the leg extension (Glutes, hamstrings)

When I saw @kayla_itsines video on week 9 leg workout I was inspired to revisit the bbg 1.0. I still incorporate a lot of Bbg in my workouts but didn't realize how hard it was until we did it today! I'm like what is Kayla thinking?!? . We almost died in this Bbg week 10 arms ! If you would have told my 15 year old self I'd be modeling briefs with a side of some kick ass abs when I'm 45, I would have believed you.
If you would have told the same to my 25 self, I still would have believed you.
But if you would have told my 35 self, injured, hurting with chronic pain from micro trauma and 4 herniated discs, I would have laughed, or cried. I would not have believed you.
Yet here I am, 5 years since I decided I'm not going to accept my "fate" & life of pain or dependency on pain killers. Working everyday to become better & stronger.
Mind over matter - take it from me - it's very real !

My weekend was bussssssy (which I why I've been a little MIA)
I had a wedding in Alabama Saturday so that took up my entire day, and then immediately had to come home for a gender reveal on Sunday that took up that day.
And yesterday I recovered 😅
Butttt today I got back in the gym (later than normal) and killlllllled my Jammie's.

Treadmill morning miles today - and an old pic from Nike World Campus in Portland 💙
Treadmill workout was short and sweet with 1 warm up mile, 2 miles @7:24 pace, and ending with an 8min cool down mile.
Its basically Wednesday -- so make it a good one peeps!!
