#Healthy eating seems to be a very difficult task to achieve, but believe me guys, it's easier than what you think (and actually #yum!!). 😋

One of my tips is to #plan, #chop and #cook a few different (and healthy) foods, to then storage them in the fridge and put them together when the time comes! 
Here one of my favourite ones:
~#Chipotle #prawns 🌶 (souted with chipotle and a bit of vegetable oil)
~#Brown #rice (no salt, only cooked with garlic, onion and curiander) 🍚
~Heaps of fresh and #colorful #vegetables finely chopped (red cabbage, cucumber, spinach, carrots, parsley and even a bit of pineapple) 🥗

Perfect as a post-workout #meal to replenish your #muscles and energy levels, or just for lunch halfway through a busy day! 😊

When I was single and living on my own in the US, being a #Vegetarian made it difficult to eat out and I had to start #CookingAtHome regularly, something that I had only dabbled into occasionally earlier. I quickly realised that #FoodPreparation was the biggest challenge and most time consumig aspect of #Cooking, but I got better with practice. Now that I'm married, I don't get as much a chance to cook since my wife is a much better cook and I never was that great. But as a side effect of that, I've retained the monopoly on #FoodPrep, which I've started enjoying. I watched a bunch of cooking shows, Youtube tutorials on how to use different knives and finally got myself a basic knife set and chopping board from #Ikea last year

You know what phrase I  despise? ‘Cheat Meal’

We’ve been taught since we were little that cheating is bad. Cheat meals can often lead to negative emotions such as failure or guilt, or even periods binging, followed by periods of restriction (because you feel so guilty). .

Instead, tell yourself that you choose to eat healthy foods almost all of the time because they make your body feel good. Also tell yourself that you occasionally choose to eat less healthy foods and enjoy them to the fullest. Making room for less healthy items and choosing them guilt-free is the key to maintaining a healthy diet pattern. .

I love it because it is how I get prepared for the week ahead, relax, focus, and get my mindset back on track after a weekend of just living life, eating out, making memories, and practicing my motto—balance and moderation 80/20 lifestyle! It is the key to a healthy relationship with food and body, as well as the key to maintaining and sustaining a healthy lifestyle with food and body for years to come. This week is looking mighty fine in my eyes as I made my favorite staples that ME and my BODY!

• Roma tomato, yellow squash, cauliflower, mushroom and Swiss cheese egg 🍳 cups (perfect way to once again use up veggies I needed to! That is why I LOVE these egg cups--customizable)
•Roasted KABOCHA squash (all time favorite food!!)
•Roasted DELICATA squash (2nd all time favorite food)
•Cut up papaya (2 weeks w/onit was too long as it's my fave fruit) and strawberries 🍓 •An assortment of roasted veggies with spices: Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, rainbow carrots 🥕 and radishes. •Also, like always, in the fridge and freezer I have plenty of other proteins, fruits, veggies, HUMMUS (x10--no shame), bread and healthy fats like usual.

🍔Now I totally understand not everyone likes/wants or has time to prep their food every day. That's absolutely fine. We live in a world where there are plenty of healthy food outlets serving food that will keep you on track towards your goals
.

✅However, the main advantage of making your own food is you can control what goes into the meal. No hidden nasties or anything like that! On that note, here's a quick 4 step guide to making the food prep process that much easier. I use this with myself and online clients so it's tried, tested and works a treat 😉
.
.
1️⃣Making a food plan for what you want to eat during the week makes it easier to stay on track, as you have a visual of what you're eating each day. It also allows you to buy exactly what you need without wasting money on foods that will go off
.
2️⃣Once your shopping list is done, go and buy all your food for the week ahead. I like doing this on the weekend when there's more time. You might have to pop out during the week for some added fresh veg
.
3️⃣A lot of meals can be bulk cooked, which saves a load of time. Slow cookers, making stews/casseroles are great as you can chuck stuff in and leave it. I also like to cook meat/fish in the oven all at once and then leave it in the fridge so it's there when I need it
.
4️⃣Each morning or night before, dish out your food and it's all ready to go with you to work. Eat cold or heat up. Up to you 👍
