The daughter goes to me:"you look dumb... no offence". Then suggests a hair cut, which she had #forbidden me up until now. Tried for a #Mohawk . Ended up like this. Now getting a #sunburn at the #MurilloFair
It's already been 7 years since Demonica played the Alcatraz Festival in Belgium. This pic is from right before the show.
Perhaps one day we can do something else with the band down the road. It never really had a proper chance to get off the ground once Mark Hernandez and I got busy with Forbidden and the singer, Klaus Hyr got understandably impatient waiting it to happen sooner.
Writing some music with Hank Shermann DK is on my bucket list. The songs from the first record were pretty much put together by he and Klaus in Denmark. We were all more than happy to add our input and parts.
I was first approached by Hank in 2007 to be a part of his thrash metal project. He was friends with Klaus, who I have known since Forbidden's first trip to Copenhagen in 1989. I thought "Hank playing thrash?!?!?!" But the riffs and approach were both on fire. I was in.
Hank already had Marc Grabowski and Klaus on board. They originally wanted Paul Bostaph to do it with us. Paul was very busy at the time. I lobbied for Mark and then Mark lobbied for himself when Forbidden played in Denmark on our first reunion tour in 2008. The guys all agreed that Mark was perfect for the project.
So in 08-09 Hank and Klaus started sending us more completed demos. We ended up re-tracking our parts on those demos and making it into a full length. All Hail the Internet!
Anyhow, I hold onto the fond memories of the experience and hope we can continue one day with the same lineup. #demonica#hankshermann#forbidden#thrashmetal#mercyfulfate

by Lora Ann
Genre: Forbidden Romance
Cover by: @masonsabre at Mac Bros Book Stuff
Bliss sat there taking in the familiarity of the kitchen. The smell brought tears to her eyes, of a simpler time in life, when her biggest concern was passing a test or what she’d wear to the dance. Landon walked back in, tossing a towel toward the washer. His hair tousled, and his red T-shirt slightly damp from where he didn’t completely dry off. How did she forget he was drop-dead gorgeous? Damn, he was lickable. Her eyes darted away before he spotted the lust dancing there, reminding herself, this man was off limits. Forbidden.

You are the angel that hides
In the shadows of stones
Where you press yourself
Against the arches of cathedrals.
Every night you climb the spires
Beneath cover of the moon
To perch with the gargoyles
And observe me with keen eyes.
You crave the passions of hell.
It simmers deep inside you.
Your desires always pull you here.
You would condemn yourself to have me.
I await your boldness, darling.
I await the night you would
Willingly burn and stay aflame
In my arms, slave to my clutches.
My desire is overwhelming
To wrap my obsidian in your silver,
To watch how brightly you burn
As I make you an unholy star,
And we marr the great heavens
With such forbidden treasons.
Nobody has to understand, babe.
Just cast down your wings and burn with me.

|| Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier ||
I was around #thirteen when I first read this #book . I have read many other books by #JulietMarillier and it is wonderful to see that they have all included strong, #female#characters . There's no denying that Juliet Marillier is a gifted #storyteller and creator of the most enchanting, though not always pleasant, #fantasyworlds . If you love fairy tales (like I do) and #fantasy , you will love this book. Plus, it has one of the most gorgeous book covers I have ever seen --- this is thanks to the work of artist #KinukoYCraft .
I do not want to spoil it for those who have not read it, but I really enjoyed this book. There is a sequel, but it can be read as a stand-alone. It is the perfect book to curl up with, in your favourite reading nook, wrapped in a warm blanket (preferably with a warm hot #chocolate and maybe a #cat on your lap!)
I cannot say for certain if Juliet Marillier drew inspiration from Jane Austen's #PrideAndPrejudice , but the five sisters in #WildwoodDancing reminded me a little of the five #Bennet sisters.
So, basically this book is a mixed retelling of #ThePrincessalAndTheFrog and #TheTwelveDancingPrincesses --- AND even includes some #Transylvanian#vampire / Pride and Prejudice type elements. This book has it all really... #forbidden#love , #magic , #dynamic#characters , #villains , #vampires , #romance and a #strong female #protagonist (whom I loved).
My rating: 4/5
"Not all were joyful tales; we needed to acknowledge that love was not just kisses, smiles, and fulfillment, but also sacrifice, compromise, and hard work."
