What a week it’s been. Feeling very run into the ground and all I want to do is sleep for hours 😴
Also want to take a moment to talk about emotional eating. As my week seemed to get harder and harder to deal with everything, my urge to ‘emotional eat’ came back. Before, back when I was binging, I would have eating my way through the house without even realising that I’d done it. Last night however I listened to my body and ate what I felt like I needed... pizza 🍕 this pizza wasn’t really worth the calories and it didn’t really taste amazing but at the time it’s what I wanted so I had it. Now actually this is called eating. I think when we start categorising our foods and moods it becomes more hinderance than help. I’m a huge culprit for labelling my ‘eating habits’ when really all I’m doing is eating something I want. Once it has a label it then surrounds that food or mood with something bad and that isn’t the case. Sometimes comforting ourselves with food is just what our body needs. It’s how most of us are probably bought up. Take kids for example... when they fall over a chocolate is what makes them happy. Our bodies are cleaver things and it’ll tell you what you need and what you don’t need so just listen to it 🙌🏼

Did I mention I love the flavours of fall? I'm 100% okay with summer ending tomorrow if it means I get to create yummy, nutritious, colourful Buddha bowls like this 😍Eat because you love your body, not because you want to punish it 💖
A slight change in your mindset from "I have to eat like this" -> "I want to feel energized, strong and healthy" will make your journey so much easier ✨
So today at work I got to make a shit ton of pretzels and I just couldn't help myself I probably had two actual pretzels and maybe three bites👅
And all I kept thinking was..
Carbs. Carbs. Carbs😭
I feel I've hit another low point in my life I feel the same way as I felt when I first started the original journey
Back to step one
So I am official at rock bottom, I feel like shit every time I look in the mirror, every thought I have is a self conscious thought about how big and ugly and gross I feel
Every bite, sip or anything I do I think about how I look regardless if it's good or bad💩
I hate this
I'm sick of myself
I fell off three months ago and it's time I get back on. For good, no more excuses, no more empty promise and no more bullshit
I'm at a lower weight then when I started, I don't drink pop anymore and I don't eat huge amounts so less things to worry about but I definitely have to change a few things and get my life on to tract
Okay. The rant is done 😔
Working out today may or may not have involved throwing up. Pretty much everything that can derail a person's fitness has been in my face lately... lack of time, insane stress levels, not enough food, extreme fatigue, etc. ... most days my workout is subpar and I know I didn't "gain" much, if anything. But still I go as often as possible because sometimes, out of nowhere, everything comes together and I have an incredible workout and it all seems worth it. I may not be in a season of success in this area, but I know that I am guaranteed failure if I don't even try. So I'll continue to do my best every day by planning ahead, showing up, and giving 100% (whatever that looks like). You win some and you lose some... never quit the game.
24 hours 'til show time!
Just went to check-ins and I feel so euphoric, I don't think it's fully hit me yet: TOMORROW IS THE DAY!
I am sosososososososo nervous. 😅
Spent the evening at the top of the Empire State Building - the views are amazing, there are so many buildings and lights everywhere!! Here is my 'church' the H&M tower 😍😉 #thankyounewyork#newyorkatnight
Gaining 40 lbs was never my intended objective when I started bodybuilding 2 years ago. In fact gaining weight used to be one of my biggest fears. So much so that even at 90 lbs I wanted to be much smaller, leaner, have a tighter midsection (I know, what?! 🙄). But at the same time I also wanted strong athletic legs, a big butt and shapely arms. So I stayed on a low calorie diet for years while doing an hour+ of cardio every day.. 😫
Looking back now I really wish I could see how I was running in circles. Starvation diets, endless cardio and obsessing over the number on the scale is no way to live!!
Please, if you're someone feeling trapped in this kind of situation with no way out feel free to DM me! I started this account to help others gain freedom from destructive dieting and am here to answer any and all questions ❤

BARBELL SHOULDER PRESS....because I love delts 🤗
Compound exercises are great for building muscle. A compound lift involves many muscles, that is best performed at the beginning of a workout since it will require more energy.
I am using a 45 lb barbell but if you are just starting out, opt for the pre-made barbells or in a smith machine kneeling and slowly work your way up.
Pay close attention to your form.
🚨Wrists should not be bent back. They should be in a straight line with your knuckles and elbow.
🚨 Back should be in a neutral position, keeping the core tight.
Remember strength gains don't happen overnight. But if you continue to work on this two to three times a week you'll see improvements. 👌🏽😉
AVO TOAST// 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑 My first time having avocado toast! I know I know... I'm not "cool" I'm way behind on this trend. The verdict is in and I LOVE it 😍 used #glutenfreevegan bread + 🥑 + @vitaleatsllc kimchi siracha + himalayan salt + sesame seeds. #snackofchampions

Sometimes I really have to ask myself what took so long to LOVE myself?! I should have started working on ME a long time ago, but I need to remind myself it's never too late to make embark on a new journey and overcome a challenge. Without a challenge, there will be no growth. ✌️ | #teamlivefit
