Where I come from
The attitude to have, is to NOT quit
My Momma, one hell of a woman, fighter and badass lady
She badly broke her back at 18 years old and was hospitalized for 10 months, she brought me into this world as a 20 year old lady, despite her back getting worse day by day, she kept working her ass off in pain to support me and my little sister, we didnt have much, but we sure had plenty of love to give each other. She got multiple back surgeries done the following years, and in one final attempt to fix her back she ended up with triple blood clots in her brain as the result
She lost her ability to speak any words, she's partly paralyzed and have big trouble walking, she's in constant pain and she will never be able to lift and hug her grandson, that's life for you right there
But one thing I brought with me from my childhood, is my relentless attitude towards never giving up, Momma taught me that
And here I am today, standing tall and proud as one can be, I have achieved the things I wanted to achieve, I have raised my son to be a true little gentleman, I have turned my life from depressed and fat to happy and curvy as fuck, and the journey towards even greater achievements has only just begun
Never give up means everything to me
That is some serious skills!😜🔥🍑

I’m loving using winter as an excuse to get in more heavy training - if you’re worried about the added calories around Christmas don’t be. More food = more fuel = better training = better gains 💪🏼 Use the added food to fuel more intense training sessions and get the rewards when spring comes around! I also supplement with @freesoulsistas vegan protein (chocolate is my fave). Remember you get a FREE sistas T-shirt for every order this December! Get on it 💃🏼 #sp#christmas
MERRY CHRISTMAS from SHM #BodyCombat and #BodyPump 🎄🎅🏽
SCROLL TO SEE THEM ALL 💋
Had an absolutely fantastic time to night smashing out two incredible workouts with the most committed and dedicated crew! It was a blast.
I'm hanging up my mic belt now until Jan 14th. Some time to reset my mind and body. Take time to learn the new releases and plan some goals for 2018. My voice has about had enough for this year too I reckon. 🙈 .
I can't wait to see what next year brings 👊🏼 BUT FIRST 🇦🇺😎🔥

Today I stepped into the "Lime"-light.
I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to pursue my passion helping to educate others, to shape and change lives, and become a part of the #Youfit community.
I am humbled by the power of the God I serve, whom I have asked for months to deliver me from stress, anxiety, and the feeling that I lack purpose. He has kept me patient, persistent, and perseverant in the face of doubt and trials. Everything I have worked for, have studied for, have suffered for, and have endured for...I now understand it was all for my good.
The interview was fantastic. The atmosphere was electric. The energy and passion were palpable. I was hired on the spot with the salary and benefits I so badly needed. Today, my prayers were answered.
Today I became a Personal Training Manager for Youfit Health club in Jacksonville, FL! Thank you so much for this opportunity Youfit Jax team! We are going to change lives and achieve greatness!
Throwing back to my comp in September! What an amazing day/experience.
Prepping for this comp taught me so much and changed my perspective on alot of things....more than I ever thought it would.
Going into this comp was never about the physical changes, I was not fat....I had fat and I have fat again now because it is healthy to carry some body fat! I didn't actually like how lean I got for everyday life however that was the point of it and I was super happy on the day but also extremely happy to put some extra weight back on.
This was about pushing boundaries, pushing my body, pushing my comfort zones!
I have never been a confident person, so to get up on stage in very minimal clothing was honestly the hardest part of the whole journey and I am super proud of myself for getting up there!! Appreciate the small things every day and be proud of yourself on a daily basis, nothing is too small to be proud of, even if it is just getting out of bed in the morning, then push yourself to achieve a slightly bigger goal the next day!
Life is about continuous growth, through ongoing challenges and everyday acheivements!
Happy Thursday all! 😘

Frustrating when other people really don't understand your reasons for working out or living this lifestyle but guess it just makes you even more determined to succeed and achieve your own goals 💪🏼 💦at the end of the day, you gotta do it for you 💃🏻💃🏻💜
Today’s run!🏃🏽♀️ Well im not much of a runner, and if we are being honest I hate running or anything that has to do with cardio! But I want to challenge myself to go running at least 5 times a week and to do 2miles in 15min. I know is a bit of a challenge at least for someone that hates😫 cardio lol but im up for it!! So the day of my Birthday ( Jan 14 2018💁🏽♀️🎈 ) I want to be able to accomplish that goal. I know that practice makes perfect! SO LETS DO THIS!!! 💪🏽💪🏽
Still working on it it but proud of my back progress over the past few months 💪🏼 Thinking of dropping a free 12 week beginners program for those looking to get into resistance training for the start of the new year. DM me if you’d be interested!
Who said runners don’t lift?! We do... but @mikayla_223 needs to work on how to flex lol. Upper body day for these endurance ladies 💪🏽🏃🏽♀️because strength is just as important as having a healthy heart. It’s all about balancing your routine so that you’re living in your best body inside and out.
I’ve been lifting 4-5 days a week since I was a freshman in high school. I always lifted lower weights for higher reps because like a majority of females, I didn’t want to “get big”. I never actually realized how much taking pictures of my progress and posting them every once in awhile would help me out. I’ve always been pretty fit, but looking at pictures of myself and sharing them on social media definitely changed my fitness goals. I started lifting a lot heavier, cut down on carbs (except for alcohol on the weekends...obviously 🙊) and cut down on my portion sizes. I’m feeling leaner than I did in high school, and it’s only been two months. Can’t wait to see where I’ll be in the next two months. ☺️💪🏼
So nothing to report on squats today really other than I am clearly way past my old training max of 275lbs. Top set at 90%x1 would have only been 247.5lbs and I can do that for at least triples so I barred my top set at 265. The long pause before I racked it was me debating doing it for a double, lol. What I really wanted to post were the following videos. Being that I train at a commercial gym, I do not have access to a SS bar, so I improvised and used my straps in place of handles at 185x6x3. IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER DO NOT DO THESE WITHOUT YOUR COACH/TRAINER/SPOTTER PRESENT. while these were not difficult at all, it can be difficult at first to get good stable bar placement so if you do this, be mindful of keeping your equilibrium while walking the weight out. This was my heavy squat day and felt more like a moderate/light squat day so I am really excited to see what the next few weeks have in store. —
Who says you can't have cucumber on a dinner in mid December?! 🥒
Really fancied a big throw together stir fry tonight - spring onions, red pepper, pinto beans, spinach, basmati rice, topped with some sesame seeds and yes - cucumber!
Throwing a stir fry together is one of my favourite ways of getting loads of veggies in 😊👍🏼
